You know how they say that it's better not to win American Idol so you can keep your creativity and not be bounded by the rules and orders of the AI producers. Now that David Cook won this year's title, being one of the most original and daring contestant of American Idol, do you think he'll be able to continue what he started and just stick to his music even though he has multi-million dollar deals ahead of him? Or will he lose his identity and turn into a cashcow? Will he be able to be the David Cook everybody loved him for in AI even though he's a chart-topping artist now?
For me, I think it will be up to David himself. It's up to him to keep it real, stay true to himself and make music that he knows reflect his personality. I see David as a strong person, not to be swayed by fame or fortune, and if that's really true then we could see great music ahead of us from this American Idol.

I don't think that is a good idea of better not winning the American Idol. Because every contestant who joined wanted the much coveted title of becoming an American Idol. The challenge however on the winner of the contest will be much tougher compared to the runner-ups because people expect more on the winner. But I think David Cook could stand up to the challenge. David Archuleta was a good contender for the title, but America voted and David Cook won by margin of 12 million votes.
David Cook has been consistent with his performance since day 1 in the top 24, showing his own style until he won the hearts of the American voters to make him the winner. Having said that, I know that David Cook will keep it for real. He will still show his own great style in music.

It will be up to David, and I think too that he won't be swayed by that fame and fortune. He'll still do his own creativity in music, and I'm sure we will see the same David in the next months and years. He is a strong person, and I know he'll be able to control himself and not go into what others want. :D

I really hope we do see the same David. I've invested so much emotion and effort to make him win Idol, and I know you did too. So we should hope that he stays the same David that we used to love and respect in the competition. :)
