What shows do u recommend?

well, my vacations just started, so i am gonna relax a bit and watch some serials. nothing good coming on the tv so i have to buy them on the dvd. but i am unsure of what to watch and what not. could anyone suggest me something good or that suits my taste.
i like:
-simpsons; all time favourite, there are some disappointing episodes now and then but the good ones make up for them
-NCIS; watched the season 2 on star world and the ending was very unexpected. i liked the crime solving with not very serious characters.
-prison break; nothing can be better than the season 1 of prison break. season 2 was good but from season 3, this series is gonig downhill.
-Lost; season 1 was pretty interesting, season 2 was not. i v heard that the 3rd one is good and the 4th one is airing. i ll be buying the third season today.
-heroes; the season 1 was quite good and the season 2 was alot disappointing but thats because of all the writer guild strikes.
so i guess u get the idea that i mostly like thrillers and series related to crime solving, but nothing TOO SERIOUS... so what's good out there?

I also like Lost, Prison Break and Heroes, so we have a bit of the same taste. My tip would be Jericho. Though it was cancelled after the second season because of low ratings, I'm still hoping it will return.
Maybe numb3rs? I wouldn't buy that on DVD, but when you're bored it's nice to watch.

well... i dont want to see jericho since u say its cancelled..but if it returns then i might consider..otherwise it'd be a waste.
i bought lost season 3 yesterday finally! watched couple of episodes, n i like it, but still dunno whats gonig on but thats how this show goes on, n i love it. and its on 7 dvds.. previous ones were on 6 each
numb3rs came on tv once i remember... but it didnt really had the kick.

oh, how i met ur mother, my friend talked about it all the time that it was good and better than friends, although i didnt like friends at all, but didnt see HIMYM. i ll see if i can get a couple of epis from somewhere before i consider buying the dvds

I would recommend Lost, as this season we have many answers. The show many people thought was done is Law & Order the original has made cast changes that really made a difference. Also I enjoy the casting of Law & Order:SVU, which recently had Robin Williams as a guest star.
Sadly, Heroes really was hurt more than many shows because of the strike, as season 2 is weak. NCIS sure had a surprising end! My mouth dropped at the end.

yeah i am going to wathc the third season of lost. but it was unavailable but hopefully it ll be available tonight. i am not watching the fourth sesason thats coming on the tv cuz that ll spoil the fun.
NCIS is not available here, not even a single season and i searched the internet and came to know that it has 4 or 5 seasons! this is one series that i really want to see! i hope star world airs the third season this year.
the ending of the second season was so unexpected and sad

My two favourite TV serial on DVD are "Charmed" and "24".
I also got "Entourage" last month. I had not seen it on TV. While watching the first 2 episodes... I got the wrong impression... and thought it was teenager crap. But it turned out to be really good. It is funny... smart... and it gives you an inside of what's going on behind the scene in Hollywood.
Besides that... I am not really into crimes.
And I am more into movies.
Action and comedy is my thing.
Good action movies seen lately
- Heat with Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro
- Tears of the Sun with Bruce Willis
Good Comedy
- Rumor has it with Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Costner
Good Thriller
- Irresistible with Susan Sarandon
Good R-Rated
- Tempted with Burt Reynolds

thanks for your response!
i checked out the shop yesterday but couldn't find charmed and entourage. but 24 was available but it wasnt the first season. but i ll check at the other shops later for these series.
and thanks for suggesting the movies.
