Price of Gas, how do you feel about rising prices?

The other morning I was listening to a radio station and they were talking about the gas prices around the world and here in the U.S. I was amazed some are paying $8.00 a gal, while in some parts of Iran it is running anywhere from $0.28 to $0.48. Now this to me shows we are there for the oil. My OPPINION ONLY!!!
Any thoughts on the prices, is almost $4.00 here what is it where you live?

It has been as high as 4.07 here in east Texas, but has actually dropped back down to 3.89. Not much of a drop but at least a bit of an improvement. I have always thought the oil had at least some impact on why we were in Iraq, and I think now that it was probably one of the main reasons.
