After I have upgraded my free edition of AVG Anti-Virus 7.5 to AVG 8 (still a free edition), I have noticed that the usage of the CPU has gone up from about 20 to 30% to almost 100% consistently. It's almost impossible to surf the web and I have to disable the AVG Anti-Virus program Anyone who has used the free edition AVG 8 care to share their experience and how to overcome it.
