i always believed that i should study hard to help me achieve what i want in life but my buddy in college did not took college seriously because she thinks it doesn't matter at all. How about you, what do you think is more effective: success solely based on educational backgound versus experience, guts & determination

an excellent educational background helps you in the way you think and how should you see problem. Most people see a piece of puzzle and only a few see the whole picture. Thus, only solution comes from this "a few" has more area coverage.
I have seen people with average educational background but rich experience. It is true that in the beginning their career is just like a rocket but at some points, they can't climb up any higher because their mind set and the way they think prevent them.
Combine high educational background with experience, you get a powerful combo. Combine it with guts and luck and you are a winner.

I think the educational background is more effective. The chance of studying in school, especially in univercity is useful and should be pay more attention to.I have recognized the importance of studying, but it seems too late. Now i have not enough time to study and have to work for living, though in practically i often find my pofessional background is poor.....
