Ok so I've thought a lot, everyone and their mother seems to be doing it, any child they have they have to give their child a mohawk and just laugh. Even i have done it!! LOL I don't know the REAL reasons anyone does it, just for tradition or a little laugh... i did it for both lol. So have you given your child a mohawk as a baby? Any particular reason why?

I never actually cut his hair and gave him a mohawk, but my sister was fond of shaping it into one. I don't know that I ever gave him a fake mohawk, but I did spike his hair a lot. Now it's too long to do much of anything with, though. He hates haircuts with a passion!

lol my son's hair was growling like a mohawk, the top was thick with hair while the sides there were less
I don't think I would make the choice of giving him a real one O.O

Ok, I'll have to show you a picture of Austin when he was younger. Up until about 6 months old, he had a natural mohawk! It was so cute. It wasn't even that his hair was shorter on the sides or anything, just the middle part of his head/hair stuck straight up and wouldn't go down with anything. I've never seen anything like it lol. Eventually he just grew out of it when he hair got longer and curlier. :( But I did give him a mohawk a few times and I always do in the bathtub with shampoo, haha. I have yet to give Aiden one, but I will! I think they're so cute.

If we're talking about really little babies, then the answer is probably as easy as - they don't really have enough hair to do anything else with!!!
I cant say i've done it with my daughter but i'm sure when our son is born, we'll try it out - more for a laugh than anything else but i guess it will also depend on how much hair he has!
Our daughter had a pretty good head of hair when she was born but rubbing her head on her bassinet mattress helped it to fall out pretty quick!
It is odd though, i've never thought about it before but you're right, everyone seems to do it to the poor little kids!
