I use both, there are times when using the credit card is better because if there is a problem with your purchase you can reverse the charge as opposed to the debit card.

Why? Atm takes the money from your account and the credit card puts you in debt. If you pay just the minimum payment, you'll end up paying twice as much for what you bought because of the interest charges. Unless you pay it off completely every month, credit cards are bad and can ruin your life. You must use them responsibly!

I don't have a credit card, I have only my atm card, and we take money out when we want it and that is it.

I have both atm and credit cards. I prefer using the atm because what you will spend from it is already yours. While in credit card, you are always tempted to buy things that you don't even need. I guess a debit card is better than a credit card. It works like an atm card and a credit card.

I have both the atm card and credit card. The ATM Card and Credit Card are from different bank. I use ATM Card almost everyday to do bank transaction, and i rarely use my credit card. Last time i use my credit card is 2 week ago to buy mobile phone.

Credit cards are good to have as backup in case of emergencies, but for day-to-day living, the ATM/deit card is a better choice in helping to create a healthier financial situation. Once I am in a finacial postion where I am able to pay the credit card balance in full each month, I will use the credit card more as the extra time (usually 21 days) to pay the balance gives me an opportunity to earn interest on my money.

depending on the banck you have your card can do both, atm and credit card(well debit realy), i think its linked to your checkings account.

I kind of use the card that is the combination. I use a debit card. that way it is money from my own acct and I don't have to "pay it back" but I don't have to find an atm machine just to get money out because I can use it to pay like a credit card.

i am using them both...I use my debit card for cash withdrawals....and credit card for purchases(not every time)...That is the way i am using the my cards...I think Debit card card is safer than credit card..If you have good knowledge about credit card then you can really play with them...Thanks
