she is coming home from a nursing home today, after being there for 2 weeks and in the hospital for 2 weeks, sick. shes feeling better now, but shes 74 years old and has pretty bad health conditions. she would be happy for me, but most of my family says not to tell her bc it might excite her too much. i feel bad, bc she keeps dropping hints but does not want to ask me.

I think you should tell her. Maybe she has an idea that you are. When I was pregnant with my son, now 2, everyone kept asking me if I was pregnant, but I always said no. The reason being, I wasnt ready to tell anyone until I was 12 weeks. I had a miscarriage a year before, and didnt want to get my hopes up, or anyone elses. But this is about you. If everyone else already knows, then you should tell her, it will come out anyway. And its better for her to hear it from you than someone else. Hope this helps! Congratulations :)

Assuming that she doesn't pass on very soon, she will find out anyway. And if you don't tell and then all of a sudden you bring home a baby, she may be hurt that you didn't tell her in the first place. A baby isn't something that you can hide for too long. And if you know that she will be happy for you, then why would you not?

well i plan on telling her, but dont know if i should wait a couple of months or not, bc i dont want her to get too excited and have a heart attack or something. shes very high risk right now.im only 9 weeks right now, but this is my 3rd child and im starting to show. i see her on a weekly basis and the other day she noticed my belly was "bloated"

I would tell her. If I were in your shoes I would hate it if something happened and she passed away and never knew that I was pregnant. You will just have to make sure that she doesn't get too excited when you tell her. Sounds like all you will be doing is confirming her suspicions.
