A friend of mine is a faculty assistant in personality development institute. According to him, if one can avoid the following habits, one can improve one's personality to greater heights. What is your opinion. 1. Chewing pans (in India it is famous), 2. Tearing paper into bits 3. Flapping hands around as you talk 4. Undoing watch strap or jacket buttons 5. Wiping your face on your shirt sleeve 6. Cleaning ears /nose/nails when somebody is talking 7. Chains you put in mouth etc. 8. Chewing gums

Sada thanks for sharing this. This is so very true! As you have mentioned , these habits are so gross and off putting that it demeans our personality to a great extent. Thanks.

Sada, another one I just remembered is the habit of talking in mobile in the top of voice when in a doctor's chamber or in a hospital or any such public places.

You're right here, good points that we should always bear in mind. I hate that no. 5 and 6, to me they're just disrespectful doing it while talking with someone else.
