I can see my face in them

I have one pair of white sneakers. I constantly clean them, because they get dirty very easily. Every time one of my friend's sees me wearing them, she always says, I don't see how you keep your sneakers so white. I tell her that I clean them, but the next time she says the exact same thing. Maybe she does not believe me or she is waiting for me to volunteer to clean her's also. Won't happen in this lifetime. She is much too lazy as it is. She actually pays me to clean her cabinets and closet.

lol, i guess i have never ever in my life cleaned my shoes. My made does it for me. :D So the type of shoes i have reprecent who my made is and not who i am? lol, anyway, interesting point that of "shoes reflect who we are"

ive got no closed shoes on my own but my husband have a fewhe always cleaned his i guess alternately during week days..its just that he likes his shoes clean always...especially the working shoes(he is working in a govt. agency)

Clean my shoes? People still do that? LOL. I don't clean my shoes unless I step in dog poo. And I avoid doing that at all costs. I will only clean my shoes if they have something distasteful on them, but other than that, no I don't.

When did I last clean my shoes? When I threw them in the washing machine, I don't remember when that was lol. I remember my dad use to clean his army boots every night when I was kid. He would spit-shine them. I don't have shoes that really need cleaning. As for being able to tell what kind of person a person is by looking at thier shoes, I don't think I have heard of that.

i clean my shoes before i go out. I have this thing called 'white out' which is a wipe-on cleaning agent. Very effective. :-)

We have to clean our shoes?.I htought once they were dirty we could very well throw them out . Just kidding, I clean mine when they need it. I have heard others judge us by how our nails look and how clean and well kept they are. Shoes get dirty fast if you live in the country or area where they are alot of dirt about, In the summer time it is much simpler to keep them clean since I wear sandals alot. Last week I think was the last time i cleaned my sandals, other types of shoes on the other hand, been a few months since I don't wear them right now.

rotflmao As much as my handy dandy pantent leather gets worn anymore one good shinning a year is enough to keep them in tip top spit shine condition. I sure hope folks don't judge a woman or a man for that matter on the shoes one keeps for company, as my everyday white tennis shoes often stay in quite a state of disrepair. I pay about 8 dollars for them and wear them untill they are falling off my feet. I have, Nikies, and redboks, easy spirits that adorn my closet shelves, all tucked into spiffy little boxes, but non keep me as comfortable and happy as my lowly white tennis shoes!

Darling p1key, with all the rain we've been having lately, I have to clean my shoes almost every time I look at them, I swear, the mud has been awful! But let me ask you - why did you clean them today? Are ya going somewhere nice? Were you just bored? Or are you just a dandy?

I don't but a friend who lives down the road who is ex forces does my boots for me LOL. If I am left to do it I cheat and use a quickshine pad or have even been known to wipe over with a baby wipe. I do agree shoes do say a lot about a person and mine are always clean even if it isn't me cleaning them. Ellie :D

I ran my Crocs under the tap about 10 minutes ago, after I finnished cleaning out the chickens. Does that count as cleaning them? If you insist that cleaning shoes involves using shoe polish, then I shall have to admit that I don't know If one is really judged on one's shoes, I dread to think what people think about me! My Crocs are bright yellow, and only come off when they are replaced with something more waterproof.

UMMM P1ke..I love the smell of shoe polish!..My Grandpa (the Greek one) had a shoeshine parlour and i would just sit and watch the men come in and smell those wonderful scents...He cleaned hats too..this was back in the late 50's and to this day it doesn't take much to turn me on..LOL..so don't feel smug..you got me excited..LOL

I haven't worn shoes that need to be polished in a while. I clean my footwear every month. But when I had to wear black shoes to school, I would polish them every night till they shone! My older son's the only one who wears black shoes and he cleans them 3 days a week (the night before he needs to wear them to school). My husband wears his shoes sometimes and I do the cleaning for him.....it's been a few months since I did it for him.

really? shoes can tell what kind of a person is the one wearing them? i don't clean my shoes everyday. i hardly ever clean them. i'm too lazy to clean them. i clean them when i see that its already dirty and you can see the dirt. but if i can't see the dirt or there is little dirt, i wouldn't clean it yet. as for my black shoes, the material is naturally shiny so i don't have to clean it everyday. sometimes when i'm wearing it and i saw dust, i would just rub it in the back of my pants. and voila! its shiny again.

I always clean it before using it and always place in a box when I got home. TO avoid dust on it. I am very particular about my shoes..LOL, and I can't wear anything if it is not presentable..

I cleaned my shoes for the first time in ages a few days ago. I was going out for a nice dinner and I needed my favorite black heels. They were a bit dusty, I hadn't worn them in awhile so I shined them up and they were hotter than ever. But other than that, I rarely clean my shoes, I just seem to get new ones. Unless, they are shoes that I can't part with, then I clean them.

I clean the bootws I wear for work weekly as they are wearing down at the front from me having been on my knees trying to tidy and organise the botttom shelf!! Also when Im putting stock on the bottom shelf, I prefer to sit down or crouch on my knees!! I dont do them often except for special occasions!!

Blimey Piky ..youre throwing the posts out today...inspiration must have come with the wet weather.Shoes...ok...well im going to say that I clean my shoes...my leather ones at least...the not leather ones get a good wipe over..but the leather ones get a polish.But Mr Ruby is a sloth ..for want of a better word...and he waits ..and positions his shoes..just so..until I pounce on them..and in a frenzy I liberally apply the Kiwi (no he doesnt mind..sry couldnt resist that one)...and then spit on the leather until they are gleaming...or my spit has run out..which ever is first...He then at some point nonchalontly casts his eyes down upon the shining leather,and then sticks his size 9s in them and sails off into the sunset .....
