Is Firefox taken over the place of No.1 browser?
I believe that most internet user realize that the poor pop-up-blocker,
worse security, less-feature, hack-easily, virus-infected-easily of Internet Explorer.
Everyone start to change their browser,
to Netscape, Opera, Safari, other browser,
and of course, Firefox.
I believe that the famous browser is Firefox.
So,
do you think that is Firefox already taken over the place of No.1 browser from IE?

sorry but no. or not yet. as of May 29, Firefox has 17.76% of the global browser market share, Internet Explorer accounts for 74.83% and Safari 5.81%. So it's still Internet Explorer.

Is this because of Internet Explorer is the default browser in Windows?

might be. but if a lot of people know that they can easily download Firefox for free then there might be a turn of events here. but again, IE being bundled with Windows will really make a big difference here.

I tried it when it first came out and it was a problem for me . So was IE7 and i went back to the IE that was on the computer. But just rescently I decided to try firefox again. So far, so good but when my virus stuff runs when starting up the computer i get cookies from firefox and i don't like that. When I didn't get any virus errors from anything. NOw if i deleted firefox I wouldn't get that error anymore.

Go Mozilla. I love that Icon - Fox eating the e - really cool.
Unfortunately IE is still the number one and that's because it's the default browser for MS. Most people are unaware of what a browser is, let alone change it. The best thing is education and computer technies passing the word on and helping those less informed how to change over. Otherwise they will keep with the norm because of fear of messing with their computer. Most computer users have no idea how to do little things to make their computer quicker and more fun.

it will be very difficult to achieve as a large majority of the computers are for professional use and companies don't allow users to install software.
I know several official institutions where the network administrators are limited to specific software. they can only have those specified ones running on the machines and since all the machines have windows they have to have IE.
it's easier to change things at home than at work.
and on thing that even makes it worst are web sites that are only IE compatible. If you try to visit them using another browser you only get a blank page letting you know you have to use IE... that just makes me sick.
If Microsoft was the best company I wouldn't mind the Monopoly but open source software is a lot safer (isn't this curious).

I would love to be able to say that it has but i am certain it has not. IE still has way more of the market share then firefox does. Firefox is gaining but its still a much lower percentage of users than IE has.
