I went from the US to Paris, and then back from Nice to the US, and that was the longest for me. The longest leg of the trip was 8 1/2 hours on the plane, but coming back we had delays and ended up traveling for over 24 hours straight (most of it waiting in airports). It's not much fun to sleep in baggage claim. Ugh.

Thanks Chewy. What did you think of Nice? I have been there as well. I flew into Rome from JFK, Took a cruise up the Italian Riviera ending in Nice. Flying out of Nice was crazy, I think our pilot was just out of the German Airforce....went to Frankfurt then back to Dulles here in the States. Paris is still on my list. How did you like it?
8 1/2 became 24! Not cool, I'm not at all fond of layovers and avoid them at all costs.

We're two for two Chewy. We probably saw each other in Nice or Monaco and had no idea! I was in Monaco about 2 weeks after the GranPrix in 2000. Went to Princess Graces tomb(tomb doens't sound right here)grave site. It was Princess Grace right? Went to Jaque Coustou's(-sp?) museum, and of course hit the casinos while there. Avignon?? not familiar with Avignon. Make that 3 for 3 Chewy, Dulles is not far from where I call home here in the DC suburbs. I've spent much time there, but never the night! Next time give me a call, you and your husband can stay in my spare bedroom!

I absolutely loved Nice, and we visited Monaco while there as well. It's so gorgeous there. We also enjoyed Paris but not as much as Nice. While we were in France we also visited Avignon and liked it more than Paris also. We took the same route home as you - ending up in Dulles. It was Dulles where we spent the night in baggage claim. We never did get our final leg home and had to drive, but at least we made it home.

I wasn't in the plane the whole time. There were flight changes. But it took me 24 hours to fly from Texas to Australia. The longest leg is from Los Angeles to Sydney. I think that is like 14 hours, but I can't remember for sure.

The longest plane trip I ever took was from Michigan to Seattle Washington. Actually that was the only plane trip I have ever taken.
