I advise you use windows Xp system, I don't think window Vista is a ideal system, I will install the vista system until it is updated and perfect.

My first impression of VISTA is like you. But, when I installed it again it showed me its qualities which are much better than XP. It requires a good configuration only.

Put a bootable Vista DVD into the ROM. Restart the computer. Press F2 or Delete key before PC starts booting. You are now in BIOS of your computer. Now, Set the boot device priority. Choose CD/DVD ROM as the primary boot device. Press F10. Exit with saving the settings. You'll see a message - Press any key to boot from CD/DVD. Hit Any key to enter the set up. I think the new mother boards have the default setting CD/DVD ROM as primary boot device. So, you may not need to enter the BIOS. If you can't see that message - "Press any key..." you have to enter the BIOS. Vista offers you graphical interface during installation. So, you don't need to worry now. One more thing, if you are installing Vista in the drive in which the previous one was. I'll recommend you to format that drive. This option comes under the advanced drive options. Hope you'll manage it....

I did reinstall vista for more than 5 times. I have two computers, one is already came with vista pre-installed. This one is very easy to reinstall. All I have to do just go to the menu and I can reinstall the computer back into the original setting. My second one is using an xp. I did try to install it with vista before and it was easy too. All I need to do just put in the vista installation cd into the dvd drive, and it will install vista automatically. I think vista installation is better than xp because I don't have to wait for it.
