At the end of the day, it's a nice idea. The thought of returning is always going to appeal to us humans who can't bare to leave.

There was a doctrine written on re-incarnation, however it was left out of the "bible". Unfortunately we are left in the dark and ask the adepts to enlighten us on the subject. What some people believe doesn't necessarily mean that it is so. If it is a myth then i don't remember any stories telling me that it was. There seems to be more evidence saying that it is actual. Oh and we only advance, but at our own pace!

I do believe in reincarnation. There are many cases that document the existance of it. Edgar Cayce wrote one of the first books about his personal experience and research with reincarnation. It is called The Search for the Girl With the Blue Eyes. Since then I have read many such books. If you do research with an open mind, you may find it makes a bit of sense.

hi, freefunk , in a simple words the theory goes like this :
1. life is a movement from imperfection to perfection
2. one cannot achieve in a single life
3. the mind therefore interacts using body learning from its mistakes
4. our thoughts and deeds are stored like impression in the mind and these on the other hand determine where to be born suitable to relive your accumulated thoughts and deeds.
5. As long as there are impressions in the mind ,it requires body over and over, once the mind realizes and makes effort to burn these impression, it regains it's original nature behind it , the eternal one.

I believe in reincarnation along the same lines of what Sylvia Browne believes. Our spirits on the other side/Heaven choose to come to this earth to learn a certain lesson &/or accomplish a certain goal. We plan out our entire lives before we live it, everything from who our parents will be to what friends we'll have to who we will marry, what career (or lack thereof) well have etc etc...
Once we have met our goal we then return back to our home on the other side where we can choose to reincarnate again, as many or as few times as we wish.

I strongly believe in reincarnation. There are several instances where a person of his present birth is able to recollect his previous birth.Have you heard of famous movie Reincornation of Peter Proud. I have read in newspapers reporting incidents involving persons of present birth able to recollect their previous birth's incidents. In India there is practice to keep the names of grand father/great grand father/grand mother/great grand mother to new born son or daughter thinking that the child is reincornation of their ancestors

I would like to know what excactly reincarnation reffers to. Is it a simple as that we all have been something or someone previous to what we are. Do you think that all these information is logged in the unconsious of us all ( taking into concideration how big the unconsious is...)
