Begging For Forgiveness

Creeping ever so slowly - Buster looked cute slithering closer to me so I wouldn't yell at him for his howling.

Dad, Deb, Buster, and I were all sitting on the front deck enjoying the lovely weather Sunday evening. Someone walked by and Buster started his howling as expected. I let him howl a couple times then yelled at him to hush. As always he started to crawl/slither to me with a sad look on his face beging for forgiveness. I always love this look on his face. So what does your pet do that's cute when it get's into some type of trouble? A photo would be great as well if possible. Thanks all. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

OMG Amazing Grandpa Bob that is so cute - how could anyone harden their heart enough not to forgive Buster when he looks like that! I know I would just melt watching him! As for our Tia she doesn't do anything cute when she gets in trouble except for giving us a haughty look, sticking her tail in the air and stalking off! lol I wish i could provide a photo but I never have it handy enough to get her when she does her disappearing act! xxx

My dogs can behave very well and there is no need for forgiveness. As far as cute faces, they make sad face often when boring and I have to play with them... HUGS

Well consider your self lucky. My sam will pee if you yell at him. He will just pee whereever he is at when you yell so you gotta be careful when yelling unless you dont mind pee on your couch lol.

It's cute when most dogs do that but not with Domingo cause when he hangs his head and tucks his tail in then creeps over to me shaking uncontrolably, it reminds me of the abuse he suffered at the hands of his former owners. He knows I'll never hurt him but he can't help acting that way whenever someone yells at him.

Same here. We feel Buster must have been mistreated by his first owner as well. Grab a newspaper or take of your shoes in front of him and he backs off like he had been hit with a shoe or paper. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Oh, he is so cute!! I can't say my dogs beg forgiveness, they're very unrepentant! I recently had to use the pennies in a coffee can approach to control Cookie's incessant barking at everything that moves! She'd get upset at the noise, quit barking then run into the house and sulk. She's more selective at what she barks at now but acts like a defiant child--she'll tolerate the discipline and obey but she refuses to be sorry! And Gus just doesn't give a hoot, his attitude is "whatever, dude"! So I have no pics to share of dogs who are sorry, because they're not!

We have a puppy that is about 10 months old and probably 50 pounds. He's part hound dog and part boxer. He's a sweetheart, but dumb as a rock. No matter what we've done, Zeus cannot seem to learn to poop outside. He does the other outside, even whimpers at the door to go out. Problem is that we can never see him doing the dirty deed on the papers in the living room. I think we've finally figured out that he doesn't want anyone watching him, and we have to take him on a leash since we don't have a fenced back yard. Zeus, when he knows he's done something wrong, will hang his head in shame, roll over on his back exposing his belly and then ends up peeing all over the place as well. Grrr. We also have a 2 year old dog, part chiuaua and part terrier. He's a sweetie. We got him from a shelter a year ago and he has never had an accident, even when we've been gone a long time. But Jake likes to chase our 2 cats and he knows that gets him into trouble. His response to being in trouble is to jump in my lap, wag his tail (a stump, really, since his previous owners had his tail snipped off), and licks my face. It's hard to be mad at him for long.

The cats? They don't acknowledge doing anything wrong. If I yell when they jump on our kitchen table to get to their food in our bay window, they just scurry away.

Well, right now, my husband and I do not own a pet. We used too until we had to put our Cat to sleep, and just have never replaced her yet. But I can relate with the look of your dog. When we had our Cat, she always tried to make sure she was noticed. But at the same time, she knew when she was in trouble and had done something wrong. She would insist on coming over by you and consoling you to where you forgot how bad she might have just been.

Buster is a cute little fella. My youngest dog, Millie, always comes running to me when my husband yells at her. She tries to hide behind me and then she crawls up into my lap. She's real good so he doesn't have to yell at her much. She has a real long nose and she looks so guilty when she get in trouble and holds her head down and looks up at us with those eyes. Sophie, our lab/boxer, goes and crawls in under the kitchen table when she gets in trouble. Sometimes if she knows she did something wrong she will crawl under the table before we get onto her.

Buster is adorable and even more so when he knows he is in trouble. Buster does the same as Millie, running to my wife usually when I yell or something. He will lay at her feet and totally ignore me. I will let him think he is safe as i will kep yelling then laff. He knows who's boss though even with his actions. Sophie sounds cute hiding under the table. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My husband and I have been working on our back deck. We put a new floor on it and also a roof. We got some railing up and a few spindles on but there is more work to be done. It is slow going with us working seven days per week but it is coming along. We let our dog go outside with us too and he barks just from hearing another dog in the neighborhood bark. I scold him sometimes too and he gives me that look. He acts like I am going to smack him or something when I call for him to come here afterwards. He has his tail down and moves real slow LOL. He also walks sideways like he is trying to keep his butt out of my reach.

My dog, flora when she know ahe was in trouble (like biting old newspapers to pieces or broght some garbage home) always wagging her tails furiously and lick my feet or hand or my body. Thats her way to saying she was sorry for her action.

I think its very sad that the one look you really love on his face is one youve put there by yelling at him :o( Sorry but I would be mortified to put that look on my dogs face by yelling at her.

I don't think it is sad and neither does my Buster. He knows who's the boss and expects it when he steps out of line. Sorry but that's how I raised my dog and he is very loved and also very well behaved due to my strict training. Thank you very much also. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My Rat Terrior, Scrappy, will generally love on us when he is in trouble. Its cute too because if we don't put him he will put his nose under our hand or put his paw on us until we do.

Ginger - okay, what have you done now?
Buster is really cute in that picture Grandpa Bob!!Ginger, my yellow labrador would just look at me and sit beside me. When she does that, I am sure something is brewing. Or, she has done something that she wishes I wouldn't find out. Happy, my shih tzu often runs around me when he does something really bad.

Hi GRANDPA BOB! Oh, isn't Buster cute? haha..Our dogs do the same thing except for the other one who really crawls right under our feet and then keeps on nudging our feet as if kissing them and then letting out a small cry every few seconds. Then will look up at us to see if we will laugh because when he hears us laughing he will just jump up and start running around. haha.. Take Care and God Bless!

That is adorable! I can't think of anything that my pets do that is cute when they are begging for forgiveness. Although, my dog does go to the laundry room where his cage is when we yell at him. And, on the rare occasions when my hubby and I yell at one another, my oldest cat will talk to us like she is playing mediator. We rarely fight so, when we do, it really upsets her. She doesn't like it at all. It is like she is saying, Mommy, Daddy, please stop fighting. We can't help but stop because she is being so cute. LOL! She is very good for us! LOL!
