No I don't think it is fair on the children, whether parents like it or not Television is a part of out lives and cut their children out of something that other kids around them will be talking about and excited about is just not fair...anyway there is a lot can be learnt on TV just like on the computer....

NO,they should not raise their children without television.Nowadays, television is still the main medium to tranfer information. Because there are so many information, especially lots of knowledge that they can gain from television. If they don't allowed their kids watch TV,their vision will be vary short. They may be drop behind the other kids. The problem is what programs should parents let their kids to watch.

I also think that. They shouldn't let their children watch everything, but programs that might learn them something would be great.

There are programs on television that are child friendly and also it's one way of rewarding the children if they do something good like excelling from exam, winning a reward or something like that. It's within parents responsibility and guidance on what program should their children watch, general information also present in selected programs and children will learn from that. It is still under parents decision but for me, I will allow them to watch television only on selected channel which I approved and ofcourse under my supervision.
Cheers!!

No, I don't think they should. TVs have their uses too. There are lots of educational programs on TV that are beneficial for children. Of course, parents need to watch closely what the TV shows for their children.
