Crazzy GRE-------How far is it true????

Today in this competitive world every one is interested in doing their higher education in US....Every one writing gre going to US . After completion of their courses they seetle their lives there itself. They dont care about the parents who have given life to them.
How far is it true to do like that......dont be crazzy about gre............Justify yourselves while doing something

many people around me go to get a higher education by writing GRE, and it is difficult for some of them , i can not understand their thought !and i think it is not necessarey for us to get this degree !
