Problem and Solution - Every problem has a solution if you think.

In an Italian town, there lived merchant who had the misfortune to owe a large sum of money to a moneylender. The moneylender had his eye on the merchants beautiful daughter, so he said that if she agreed to marry him, his debt would be forgiven.Both were horrified with this proposal. So the wicked moneylender said, let providence deal with this. I shall put two pebbles in each bag, one white and the other black. If she picks up the black one, she marries me, if she picks up the white one, i shall forgive you your debt and she need not marry me. He takes them out into his pebble filled garden and picks up two black stones and puts them one in each bag. The daughter sees him putting both black stones in each bag. Now imagine for a moment you are the daughter. What would you have done.
1. Refuse to take out a pebble.
2. The girl should expose the moneylender.
3. The girl must sacrifice her life for her father.
The girl was witty and smart. She put her hand in one of the bags and pulled out the pebble and accidently let it fall on the ground with all the other pebbles. She said, how clumsy of me. But if you look into the other bag, you will know which pebble I had picked up. Since both the pebbles were black, it is assumed that she had picked up the white pebble. The moneylender knew he was beaten.
Moral of the story : Most complex problems have a solution, only we dont attempt to think.

You are damn right every problem has a solution if we try to think. But most people either give up or blame the circumstances. On this oroblem solving topic I have a great quotation " A Problem cannot be solved by the same level of thinking by which it was created."

Your quote is very enlightening. Actuall, when you go to think about it, we realise that one has to work harder to solve problems. But when solved, it gives you a damn good satisfaction.

This story also inspired me a lot. I to was down for some time, but when such inspiring stories come to the fore, it is then that we get renewed strength to solve our problems.

I think there is a solution to every problem also. We may not see it or think of it at first, but it will come to us sooner or later if we seek thie information or knowledge for it. If we give up on trying to fix a problem, then we will never know the solution to it. I always think about every probelm that I have and I also work hard on fixing the problem by whatever it takes in finding a solution for it.

You are indeed a storng person. I sometimes let the problem rule me for some time, till I shake myself out of it. When I read stories like the one I have written, it gives me a big boost in life, and a newer found strength to fight the problems and find solutions.

hi,
that was a nice piece of literature. as we are in this world our life has got to deal with the problems. and there are solutions to every problems. and if we are the cause of the problem then the solution lies with us. all we need to do is to give some thoughts to the problem and then we can get a nice solution.
