O.k. so I love to take pictures and have even taken a class in photography, while ,most of my pics are of the family once in a while I get to take the type you see in the stock photo books. MY question is it two parts... one where would one go to look into selling these pics, two if I took a pic at a park or amusement park but there are no names showing can I sell it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont think that i can able to respond you in the Two form, but i will convey the message what i know.. What ever picture you have / product you have, you can able to sell the same through Ebay, the options are there to sell any of the products through online. For which You have to register yourself with Ebay first, once your registration is over, you can buy and sell your products through E-bay.. You can try this.. sell your photographs. regarding the picture which is having "no names" i have no idea about that, in fact i am not able to understand that. part. All the very best.. Keep selling.. sorry keep postings..

I apologize I read my post and it was very hard to understand that part ( no posting caffeine free anymore). Example I took a shot of a ride at universal that came out amazing, I so surprised, it does not show the name of the ride nor do you see anything that says Universal Studios so there is nothing showing that could get me sues for not getting their permission. At least I don't think I can. That's what I was trying to find out if I sold it could I get sued.

I have been selling royalty free stock for ages. You can go to corareedphoto dot com and look at the agency page for several places to submit your photos. If you need any assistance I can probably help. I was the creative lead at a stock company for many years and know the ins and outs.

well hell you should help some of us newbies out I'm interested in selling stock photos as well but at the moment I'm just taking tons of pics and getting a handle on different lighting, angles etc etc then sorting through them and the ones I think are sellable I have in a specific folder etc..

That's the fun part...experimenting. I'm forever running around with a camera taking pictures in different lighting and such. My kids think I'm nuts but it's fun.

I've been selling stock photography for years! If you're interested in where to sell stock photos, I have a list of links to different stock photo websites listed on my website: http://www.lindsaydean.com/sellstock.html As for the second part of your question, it depends on the photo and the park. Some stock websites will allow you to sell editorial images. So even if you have a very recognizable photo of an amusement park with copyrighted characters, rides, etc. in the image, you still might be able to sell the photo for editorial usage. As for photos of amusement parks that are unrecognizable, chances are you would be able to sell them as stock. If I were you, I would check out different stock websites (try shutterstock.com and istockphoto.com) and search for words like "amusement park" "ride" "roller coaster" etc. and see what type of amusement park photos are accepted as stock photography!

Thanks it's just a water ride and I didn't see anything that was very specific. I will definitely be checking into those sites.
