Theres quite a least. For older people there is Shawn Kemp and Darryl Dawkins. Darryl Dawkins may have been the first straight out of high school. He started playing in the 70s. The most notable is kobe bryant and lebron james. I'm not sure but I think Amare Stoudemire came out of high school. Anyway at such an early age of becoming such a great player I would say Lebron James is the best straight out of high school.

without a doubt kobe is the best nba player out of high school. they can say that lebron or amare is good but without an NBA ring there nothing but ring less superstars. kobe, prove his greatness even in his rookie years and develop into a top caliber player and the 2008 nba MVP. leaping his team to the 2008 nba finals. what else can you say about kobe, he is the best.

i think t-mac won't get pass any closer to future nba finals because his team haven't been healthy all year long. if he is healthy other key players always got injured like what happen this year they have an amazing 22 games winning streak but failed again to win a playoff series with utah with yao badly injured.
