most of the people knows about OVERTIME in work...
i do work overtime because it is needed..to finish the work done due to deadlines...but it also shows that you are so slow in your work that you have to take extra time to finish a job...people are not machine..we got moods and sometimes need to be encourage to be inspired..there are too sides of opinion in taking overtime...
where will you stand?
how far would you go for overtime?
would you like to be paid on your overtime or would you like it to be offset on the other day?

EI iceman, i do too want to take a rest after work, who doesn't...
but in some of cases there are things to be considered, like deadlines..
as a licensed architect i do take my responsibilities which to take me to have overtime just to make sure everything will go on a smooth way..
but if there will be a chance to be off in the office after eight hours, why not!!

There are many a times I have worked overtime, but thats only to finish off some unfinished assignments. I have never worked for paid overtime job. I enjoy my job & am paid good for this. So if demanded I am ready to put in some extra effort to get my job done. Till date I have never felt the financial need to go for a paid overtime. But if I am required I won't hesitate for that too.

Usualy I do not have to work overtime unless I have meetings to go to and get behind in my work.

I'm an architect working under a firm and i can relate to what you're saying. Overtime is already regular time in my line of work because almost everyday since I became an architect, i've been working over the regular 8 hours per day. Sometimes it's a drag working late each day, especially if you have plans after work on those days. Although it could also be rewarding when you have completed a job you have been doing forever... hehehe. With regards to the overtime pay or offset on the other day question, I guess it's ok for me if i can offset my excess of work time and still get paid for my overtime if that's possible. :p

Hmmm..... in here no overtime, even i already working so hard and more than 18Hour. After i know about that i decide to not finis my job more than 8 hour. That not worth for me, for my energy and for my health. so am prefer going home spend my time for my family or just reading my favorite books or if am still in office after my time for work finis i will chatting with my bf or just paying game and make online money.
