Happy 6th Adoption Anniversary Shakti!!
6 years ago yesterday (June 1st,) I moved into my apartment, and 6 years ago today (June second) I got my two-year-old Balanese/Siamese cross, kitty cat, Shakti. He's such a wonderul cat, and a great big purrrrrrrrrr-machine!!!! He's been known to purr so loud people can hear him in Arizona.
My mother brought me a loaf of homemade liver pate yesterday, from The Danish Baker, and I celelbrated Shakti's adoption anniversary, by giving him a great big piece. Maybe I'll pick him up some smoked salmon on the way home, or something like that. He'll enjoy the crap out of that.

hihihi... you have a very cute cat! happy adoption day to him! you are lucky to have him and he's lucky to have you.
my boyfriend and i have two cats. one's a black cat and the other's orange. last year, when our black cat had his first adoption year, my boyfriend bought him his favorite cat snacks. and he was so happy!
oh, by the way, the orange cat we have purrs a lot, too! he's so noisy but cute.
it's great to make our pets feel special especially on their birthdays, or adoption anniversaries, etc.
have a nice day!

he looks sweet.
my cat, also adopted, last december, is picky with food. he just eats what he is used to--fancy feast cans and holistic dry food...he doesnt like human food much.
my late dogs were the ones that enjoyed human treats.

What an amazing feller he looks from his photo. You must feel proud and privileged that he chose you to live with.
Our old man, Percy, came to us 15 years ago when he was just a kit from the house next door. He had picked up fleas and was no longer welcome as the girl there had a baby a few days old and wouldn't have Percy anywhere near.
We said he could live with us, he said ok, we treated his problem, and he's been here since.
The girl with the baby is long gone (must be a teenager now!) but Percy still won't go across the fence into THAT house where he felt unwanted.
