Starting a new website and getting people to look and buy from it?

Hi everyone, anyone: I just started a new website and I am having a heck of a time learning how to promote the thing. I have had great reviews on the site but no one is buying the products. The products I sell are great for beginners because I use them myself, and I am a beginner, so what am I doing wrong? Can anyone help me???? rcz
