I love lobster. Especially, broiled Lobster in the shell with drawn butter. It has got to be my all time favorite food followed closely by a good New York Cheesecake. I saw cooking show a few weeks back where the cook put lobster tail in plain water and boiled it. Oh my god, what a waste.
What is your favorite way to prepare and eat Lobster?
Please don't tell me if you boil it in plain water.

Well, I think all seafood cooking requires some technique to get it right. It is easy at times to overcook it, making some seafood very tough. With Lobster Tail, I would suggest removing it from the tail first. Make sure the meat is fresh and doesn't smell fishy at all. As with Prawns or shrimp, the Lobster tail meat is done as soon as the clear look (Opaque) of the meat turns all white and is just firm to the touch. Just think of a lobster tail as a very big prawn.
Your food sound delicious.

I had lobster for Mother's Day this year. They were out of fresh, so we had to buy pre-cooked ones. We usually cook them ourselves by steamimg them. If we're at our annual family reunion by the ocean we buy them right off the boat and steam them in sea water and then dip the meat in butter.
Lobster is good, but I prefer mussels these days. Lucky for my husband. Mussels are a whole lot cheaper.

I don't eat lobster often, the last time I ate it was 3 years ago, so I'm definitely not a lobster expert. It's not that I don't like seafood, in fact I like seafood very much. Do you know "calamares" and "scampi's"? I love them! Especially when they are prepared in "paella". For them who don't know, paella is a Spanish speciality which consists of a dish with rice and all kinds of seafood. If you've never ate it before you definitely should try it!

Oh, it has been years since I have actually ate lobster. I love scaampi and calamari as well. I have never had it in paella. I keep hearing that term paella lately. I guess I need to check it out cause I keep hearing how good it tastes.. Thanks for responding.
