Read this story and tell me what your opinion is on it:-

This mother is claimed to be the worst junkie in Britain after becoming pregnant 3 times whilst addicted to heroin. All three of her children were born addicted to heroin, and one daughter died at just three months of age from a massive heart attack.
The inquest was held into the death of her daughter at which the mother was not present because she was in hospital after the birth of a third child.
A neighbour said: “It’s shocking – she’s just had another baby girl and we understand that one is also not well. She walks around in the streets in her pyjamas. This woman is a disgrace.”
I read so many stories like this, I also know a women who had a baby boy while addicted to heroin and alcohol, her poor little boy came into the world craving heroin and suffering withdrawals from alcohol. He nearly died, as it is he is mentally retarded, the mother then went on to get pregnant with twins and aborted them at 24 weeks.
Personally I think that something should be done to stop this, not quite sure what yet, do you lot have any ideas of what could be done to stop this happening to innocent little babies?

If we are to go along with all those who are pro choice...it is her body, her life, she can do what she wants with it. As for the innocent babies, the government will step in and take care of them. It's not the addicts responsibility, the addict is the victim here. Isn't that the way it goes???
I don't understand why heroin addiction is even legal. The people that do this are parasites in the community. They sponge off the government, breed indiscriminately and so we have a viscious cycle. Put addicts in gaol and let them get clean, cold turkey. They are not capable of making reasonable valid choices so the public should make their choices for them. Throw them in gaol and don't let them breed until they are clean.

I agree with you. I am tolerant of most things, I try to understand as far as I can. But I have seen first hand some seriously selfish, worthless heroin addicts. I have heard them bleat on how it is not their fault they are hooked they had a bad childhood. Yet I know that these that I know had nothing of the sort, what they did have was discipline and they simply did not like being told what to do.
I see them walk around town and I get so mad, they are on benefits and think the world owes them a living. I know for the occasional few they really are in a mess, desperate to get off it and unable to because they cannot get the help they need. But for the majority they do not want the help they just pretend they do, they get methadone and then still go out and score. Yes it makes me mad, as you can see!

anything would not be considered legal though, like forceably detaining her in jail or a half way house tell she got cleaned up, taking her kids away from her and having her tubes cut

Like Loud n proud, i think she should be sterilized.
The audacity of her to keep having these babies and not trying to break her addiction first is beyond me.
Sadly in the eyes of the law, she's not committing a crime, and this i think should be changed.
If a person who is hiv positive knowingly inffects another they can be charged with murder in some countrys.
In my opinion she should suffer the same faith, because in her addiction she's not protecting herself from becoming pregnant, thus causing another... grievous harm.

Women like her need to be put on mandatory birth control, like the depo shot that she can't forget to take. Or perhaps they should just tie her tubes, as the surgery is reversable, if she ever cleans up her act.

I think that is a great idea, it would certainly cut this sort of thing down.

this is so sad..i feel sorry for the babies wt is their fault tht they suffer..this lady shud b sent to some deaddiction centre and also the govt shud intervene so tht she she does not go abt getting pregnant anymore till she is responsible though i dont think she wud really care abt the well being of her baby..this is outrageous..
