I have a beautiful shop near my place that sells all sorts of crystals and things, well I just bought a Himalayan Salt Crystal lamp, I am just wondering if anyone knows anything about these. It does say that it actually puts vitamins in the air so to speak, apparantly they good to atmosphere of the bad things that TV's computers and such put out there. They are supposed to keep the air clean...Does anyone have one or know about these....

Well , saltlamp does functioned as crystal actually . But according to Chinese folks said , it was a ying ( COLD ) or yang ( FIRE ) and crystal actually consider as YING (COLD ) and saltlamp is YANG (FIRE).
Saltlamp is the only element which could produce NEGATIVE ION to balance the positive ion electromagnitic field. So I might suggest you to place the saltlamp beside your TV , Computer or any electricity devices to avoid radioactive which can cause cancer and brain problems .
If you wish to have any other information could pm me...and please rank me. thanks~~!

I have one of these lamps I paid 20.00 for it at the fair. I really don't notice any difference in the room it's in I've had it for about a year. It looks really cool thats about all I can say as far as the lamp goes.
It's just a lump of rock salt that has a hole in it for a light sitting on a piece of wood. I would buy more if I had the money I think they look nice in a room it gives off a nice soft glow.

I am thinking about using mine as a night light, they are supposed to clear the air of the electrical vibes and stop allergies even, it says it releases negative ions that neutralize the air...I am thinking of getting another one that usus a tea candle just for when I am watching TV, it also advises leaving them on for as long as possible...I love it...

I have seen those before and they
are just divine! Very unique, that is for
sure. I don't have one but have thought
of buying one before.
Very new age!

I use himalayan salt because regular table salt (sodium chloride is actually toxic)They do sell the lamps there too.Maybe they burn longer than wax and are healthier to burn than parafin wax.I know they burn it near the cash register in the health food store.Maybe the salt goes in the air while it's being burned and it's good for you to breath in.Salt does hold moisture. The lamps are pretty decorations too.

My sister got a himalayan salt lamp for her son who had asthma. She said the asthma attacks has really decreased a lot. I think it is really good for the health and very nice decoration to a room, too. I'm planning to get one or two may be and my sister is also going to get some more, too.
