do you live in close knit family?

my family live separate from my grand father's family ,and after marriage i am also separate from my in-slaw ,because my husband's job is there, but i have spend some time with them , that because i have esperience about joint family, ang its great.

I would say that I used to live on one before. Although my nuclear family was small but we bleong to a much larger family and it was some kind of an extended family. We lived under one roof and sometimes if you were young you kind of find it difficult to differentiate your relationship with them. All I know was that we're relatives. As I grew up I finally understand which are the cousins, uncles and aunties. But now that I have my own family its different now as we live separately from them now and the nuclear family that I used to lived with is not as extended as they have started living on their own too. As my Grandfather and my Grandmother passed away all their children just drifted away from each other and we just meet from time to time. I still miss those gatherings but I guess it will never be the same as before I guess.

i was have the same condition like you. lived in a joint family and based on my point of view, i didn't enjoy much. i prefer to live seperate far with my relatives. its really annoying if our relatives don't too understand about our daily working and activities and seems giving wrong pointed toward ourselves. well, its just in my point of view, its nice to know that you really enjoying live in those condition

yes, we are a close knit family. but i have never actually lived in joint family. we were nuclear family. so its like we four are close.now brother stays in another city for job. still we are close.

before, when I was a kid, my parents were still together. our family isn't perfect. they sometimes fight and they've separated so many time already, but getting back together. but even though, I was so happy that time because I can see my family still together. but my parents totally separated when I was in high school. it was so painful, because who want's to have a broken a family. and until now, my family were facing lots of challenges. I am living with my father now. we are trying to be strong for ourselves. we really miss our family. and we are still hoping that we can be together again.
