dont really konw US' politics, but as a chinese, democrats seem more friendly and foucsing most on economy, while republicans look like stubborn, conservative and easy to go to war.

same, both sides full of bs and ineffective, has a third party candidate ever won? May be time for one or we all going down in flames...

I think we're pretty much screwed no matter which party is in power. Democrats are willing to legalize just about anything and the Republicans are so stubborn and many times, plain stupid. Let's not forget that they never actually get anything worth while done, and I'm saying that as a Republican. I'm dissatisfied with both parties. I may end up voting for a third candidate in the next presidential election.

Well, a ways back I used to be a Strong Republican, and would always Vote only that way. But George Bush has made me loose all hope in them... I am not sure I always believe all of the Democrats either, so this is a decision I often just use my Gut instinct when going to the Polls to vote.

There are plenty of people who have become so unimpressed with the government that they just say, "What's the use?" Neither of the two large parties have ever been perfect and they never will be. There are plenty of screw-ups all around. If you cannot stand Republican or Democrat, then you can look for a minor party candidate. If this is your anwer, just give some consideration to whether or not you are wasting your vote.
And you can choose not to vote. The trouble with this approach is that the process will go on and on without your vote and eventually you will get stepped on.
I support the Republican Party because I see that their platform and goals are for the best of our country. That's my opinion and I know others may not agree.

You know, it's been a lot time since we've had a new major political party. In the early years of our country, new parties came into prominence every few years. Now we've gone along complacently for almost 150 years with the same two dominating. Partisanship overrides good sense and the will of the people far too often. Maybe it's time for a change.

The way things have been going i don't see much of a difference. I think we all need to take a step back and take a serious look at this crazy world today. And start spending more time on saving our planet.

I have pretty much given up on listening to either side. I no longer pay that much attention to either parties. When I vote, and I do, I usually vote Democratic because I'm a raging liberal and I want nothing to do with Republicans......but on a whole...gov't just doesn't interest me.

Negative campaigning is so frustrating. You never know what to believe, or how its been twisted. I pretty much vote republican because of certain issues (sanctity of life, family values, support of the military) but others I don't really agree with (tax breaks for the rich, lack of social programs). Thanks to America's centuries of two strong parties, no independent party can make it to a major election. That's what we need-unfortunately our independent parties are generally even more right or left than the main ones.
