in filling up the payment information, i have chosen moneybookers for the sole reason that in the FAQ, they don't list Philippines as one of the countries who can use paypal in mylot. i want to know other Filipinos choice of payment processor in their payment information. can we choose paypal even if it is not list in the mylot FAQ? have anyone from the Philippines been paid by mylot through paypal? i have not reached payout yet, but i am taking advance security measures. thanks in advance.

AS far as i know, most or maybe all filipinos in mylot are using moneybookers as paypal is not being accepted.. PLus moneybookers has got an advantage too as the money is directly being deposited in our account.. However, your personal details must be the same as wat's shown in your bank details..

After reading the above discussions here looks like paypal is much better. I have signed also via moneybookers for the same reason that i wasnt able to locate philippines in their list of countries. I am just wondering which banks does paypal could be claimed or credited ? Your views are truly appreciated. I really love mylot :)

Visa and Mastercard Credit cards accepts in Paypal. If you don't have these, try EON account offered by Unionbank. You need any of these for paypal verification. About withdrawal, you can may use any banks but first you must add your local bank accounts in Paypal. I hope these can help.

I am using moneybookers as my form of payment... since i do not have a paypal account... so far... i have not encountered any problems... i was able to transfer my earning from moneybookers to my bank account here in the Philippines... moneybookers is quite prompt in that matter... but of course there is a certain fee... around $2.50...

that is quite a big amount for a fee, don't you think? i don't know yet if paypal charge a fee for transfering money to a bank. what is your bank by the way?

but some responses here says paypal charge $1.95 for the verification process, but they said it will be reimbursed. is the fee of $2.50 reimbursable?

I have already received payment from mylot through paypal. i think that the countries stated in the mylot FAQ was made months ago, during the time when paypal still doesn't accept Filipino members. That is why mylot offered other methods of payment.

I haven't withdrawn any money from paypal yet. It's because I don't have a bank account. I am planning on opening a Unionbank EON account. The card can be used to withdraw from paypal since it's powered by Visa. And EON doesn't have a maintaining balance, only an annual fee of 350php.

I signed up for paypal account and also have moneybookers for mylot. I'm also having a problem withdrawing through paypal. I've tried to register one of my banks in paypal but it's not showing up there as an option for me to withdraw. Since this is a discussion for pinoys, I would like to bring up the question how we can also withdraw from paypal?

Like what everlasting said, you have to be a verified paypal member first, using either a credit card or debit card. You will be charged through that card of $1.95, if I am not mistaken. But after a few days that the card has been verified, they will return the money and will be placed in your paypal account. Afterwards, you can add you local bank account where you wish to transfer your funds from paypal...

so that means we really need to have a credit or a debit card before we can withdraw from mylot. i don't have any of those yet. maybe i will create a Union Bank debit card account, and i will connect paypal with it.

maybe you can add those people in this discussions as friend and send them a private message as to you problem. that would be a sure way to get response for your problem. or you may start another discussion about it. i do not intend to push you away from my discussion. i just i want to help you. i don't know the answer to your problem yet. i think it is seldom that readers will read the whole part of the post and so they may not read your concern. but i am hoping someone here may answer your concern though.

i'm interested to know if mylot pays filipinos via paypal well. thanks anyway for your response. does paypal charge you a fee for transfering money to a local bank? how much?
• Philippines
7 Jun 08
Yes there is. I'm using EON account and there is a charge if your payout is Php7000 below and if above Php7000 no fee. This is offer for those non premium. If you're a premium already, it is automatic that they will charge you. :) correct me if I'm wrong, it's $5USD

so you mean when I transfer 7000 and above to my bank from paypal, there is no fee? and when 7000 and below, there is a $5.00 fee? So what did you do? did you accumulate those 7000 first before you withdraw? and, what do you mean by EON?

I have paypal since paypal has started accepting membership for us Pinoys. I have already started putting my earnings there too that is why I chose Paypal as payout option for Mylot. I am doing this for consolidating purposes.

i have both money bookers and paypal account. when i joined mylot it was under egold, then it changed to money bookers so i have money bookers account. now i have paypal also, last payout was transfered to paypal. you can take moneybookers or paypal, but i think paypal is more good if you are interested to buy something from the net for most of the buyers acknowledge payments through paypal

i had been using paypal since they started to launch its use in the Philippines..i use to have moneybookers but once paypal is allowed i left it..my experience with moneybookers is quite alright except for the the fee..they had a fee of processing the money and then another fee with the bank on which it cost so high for the earnings of $10 you will end up having like most likely to 500 pesos..while in paypal every 700 pesos withdrawal will mean 50 pesos fee..which is i think is very convenient..

I didn't even know you could use moneybookers on this site. Honestly, I hate all the different payment processers out there. I wish they could just make one universal one for everyone (like payapl) and just stick with it! I hate having to sign up for new ones and not knowing if I should trust it or not.
@richiem (3644)

i think that is not a good idea. if they would make one universal payment processors, there will be a monopoly. in that case, paypal (we suppose) would set high transaction charges. we will not be able to argue because it would be our only choice. competition makes higher quality services at lower prices. you can always ask if a payment processor is legit.
