Typical UK 'Summer' weather!

Ok so it's June 3rd and where is the summer?
It's cold and wet and dull where I live in the North Midlands of England. We've only had one brief warm spell it seems, in the middle of May.
My greenhouse is a disaster, nothing seems to want to grow.
What has happened to the weather? If this is global warming it feels pretty cold.
We seem to hear lots of news stories about exotic and extreme weather worldwide.
Is the weather strange where you are?

Yeah today where I am is cloudy wet and miserable, although it has brightened up considerably and has stopped raining for a while.
Yesterday was gorgeous, it was really warm and in the afternoon the sun was out and I did not have to wear a coat or anything when I went to pick the kids up from school. Apparently so I have heard the weather is supposed to get better from this weekend and into next week we should see a lot more sun.

I'm in the south Michael, where it's supposed to be warmer and sunnier. I am afraid that it is all untruths. The rain started yesterday afternoon and is now torrential. My water butt is overflowing and I can't get up the garden for firemen in rubber dinghies rescuing cats forced up trees by the swamp that was our top lawn! It's horrendous. I discovered this morning that the majority of British emigrants do so because of our wether and not for economic reasons. I might join them. The Sahara sounds like a good destination.

When our glorious local council built a cycle path (National Route 55) in the fields at the back of my house they screwed with the drainage out of the field and it flooded my garden when it rained.
They then spent tens of thousands digging proper French drains to soak the water away.
It still resembles an Olympic swimming pool when the weather is like this down at the bottom of my garden. Good job the faeries can swim....

It is winter here. Our winters are usually rather dry, but for some reason, we have had just as many rainy days as not. It has made it a little warmer than normal, so that's good, but doesn't help with the washing!!!!

The weather is most certainly strange. Normally by the start of June i'm able to start harvesting from the veg garden, but this year everything is only just starting to flower. It's been a bit grim really.
At least the rain will keep the water tanks full this year though, so hopefully no water shortages.

Our weather keeps switching between sunny and hot then one minute its raining then it might thunder and lightning its very annoying when you go out with just a t-shirt because you see its nice and sunny and it starts to rain.
