inside were Heath bars, and dark chocolate Snickers and so many other goodies. All things that we don't get here. I am simply overwhelmed by the generosity of one of my fellow myLot friends. What can I say but "Nova a big THANK YOU and loads of hugs and kisses".
Has your postman ever left you a package that really gladdened your heart?

Darling p1ke, I'm just so glad that it finally arrived! It took forever! And they said it would go by air too, but I dunno, maybe they used pigeons. Truly, I was as excited to send it as you are to get it. I'm anxious for you to try everything - it's just a crime that you haven't been even aware of the existence of Midnight Milkyway or Snickers Midnight. What heavenly concoctions! I don't like Milky Ways. But I love the Midnight ones, yum-o-rama! And the Oreo Cakelets - you'll have to tell me how those are. I haven't tried them yet. When I bought yours, I also bought a box of the Vanilla Wafer ones and they were delicious. I'm assuming the Oreo ones will be amazing. Let me know what you like the most, and I'll send more. Your poor daughter though, so sad she's on that diet. Make sure she gets at least a small treat please. And you'll have to let me know what the wife likes the best too. We need our packages to be balanced, after all.
Anyway, as I said in the box, sweets for the sweet and you are indeed that. I love you to pieces and your doing this discussion just warms my heart even more. Enjoy your treats. XXXX

Why yes, mummy, you DID hear something about a threesome! And I believe it was I who said it. Hmmm, I'm thinking maybe in the 'downstairs' part of our float, could be interesting....
Dfn, I've walked by them too. When I saw them that time though, I immediately thought of our p1ke, so I grabbed a box, and as I said, I got a box of the vanilla wafer ones for myself. But, worth the calories or not, I'm still going to pick up a box of those Oreo ones, I just know I will. I'll probably be under the influence when I do....

The simpe answer is I cant remember when that last happened!...but if you wish to forward a Snickers bar..please feel free to do so!..recently all we seem to have got through that postbox is holiday brochures...Norfolk,Suffolk..come hither..the thing is that they all just end up in the bin!!....Oh and another regular brochure beckons me to the land of Tartan...to share the haggis, and a drop of malt...But to my way of thinking a snickers bar sounds far more interesting...

Nova has a big heart. Not alot of people would so that but I bet that was one sweet package to receive. I love all ppackages I receive since they are so few and far between and so when I receive one it always gladdens my heart and makes me feel good no matter what it is. I absolutely love Snickers candy bars and my husband loves the Heath bars. So I hope you enjoy them tremendously and take it slow and savor them. I am glad that they are people like Nove on here. Well, good luck and remember to walk off those calories otherwise..once on the lips a lifetime on the hips or other regions of your body.

They will join all those other parts of me that have decided that the P1ke's body is too irresistible to leave! I shall make a whole heap of Heath Bar ice cream. My favourite in the whole World and just not available in the UK. Isn't Nova wonderful. I am so fortunate to have her as a friend. So many on here are good to me. I am truly blessed.

How wonderful p1ke my darling - I can imagine just how surprised you were and how delighted! Is that not just typical of our supernova to do something so lovely!
I had a lovely package delivered a few weeks ago from our gorgeous wolfie! I was expecting the package as I knew he was sending something for Niall but he knows me so well he had sent me a gift with a birthday book, address book and pen altogether in one folder so that I couldn't forget my own birthday! lol He also sent some lovely little gifts for Niamh. I was so overwhelmed that he had took the time and trouble to think of us all and send such lovely gifts! Hugs xxx

No sweety it is a bit like a diary with space for every date in the year and you write in it when different peoples birthdays are and you can also write in their year of birth so you always know what age they are! I even wrote my own birthday in as he is right I would have forgotten! lol He is a very special with the most magnificent heart and I adore him! xxx

I just love our Wolfie, mummy, you know I do. He's got such a big heart. That birthday book sounds fun. What is it? Do you put pictures in it from your birthday? Do you write about your day? I'm curious about it. XXX

Did you finish all your goodies? That must have been a great surprise to see that box and find all kinds of sweets. I've never received anything like that. The only box I have gotten was when I ordered DVD's or books.

just rinse your mouth after eating your candy and you won't have to see the dentist. Why is it that you don't have this type of candies where you live?

Who knows. We do have snickers - the original version. There doesn't seem to be the market for dark chocolate here perhaps. Heat bars are just unheard of. It is ironic that the Heath Bar is allegedly "English" toffee. We do have something al little similar, but it doesn't have the "bite" that a Heath Bar has. We used to be able to buy imported Heath Bar Crunch ice cream, but no longer. Boo Hoo.

My dream would be to have a big box of scampi flavoured fries left on my doorstep.....I think i'm hinting!
Anyway I have to say a big NO. My postman has never left me anything that gladdened my heart. A few days after we first moved in we had a letter from him saying he was taking us to court because our dog bit him....I don't have a dog....or a cat...or any pet I now have fish but they aren't allowed out of the tank. I knew someone that worked at the same depot and found out that this guy had been bitten by a friends dog a few months earlier. How terrible is that, trying to get other people into trouble because his friends dog had bit him. I mean what if we had a dog that moved in with us and it got put down because of this person. On top of that my mail is constantly going missing. Once I found a parcel of goods I ordered left behind the next door neighbours bin in the pouring rain.
I think even if someone did send me scampi flavoured fries I'd never get to see them let alone eat them :(

I'm a vegetarian but i'm pretty sure scampi doesn't take owt like this.

I think i'll be setting up my christmas wishlist on there this year.
I remember when the postman used to be good. I remember when we used to tip him at christmas! I have to leave clues in my address to where my flat is exactly located.

I don't think that I have ever seen a scampi flavoured fry. I'm sure that they are good, especially if they really do taste like scampi! That's a rotten trick. I would have written to the Depot manager immediately and queried the matter. I must say that our postman is fantastic. His predecessor won the jackpot on the Lottery so doesn't do the mail round anymore! I wouldn't either. It still took him well over a year to quit.

Gee, I would love to get mail like that, cause I love chocolate! But one has to be careful, a few months ago somebody left an envelope for somebody and inside was a card and a Mon Cheri chocolate. The guy opened the envelope and ate the chocolate and a few minutes later he was sick in hospital! After what must be like two or three months the guy is only starting to come back, as he was in comma and they are still not sure whether he has brain damage or not. The guy was poisoned because he did not approve of somebody's request in the city council where he was working! That happened in a small town in Austria. The poison was stricnine (not sure how to spell that).

That was one horrible present. Strychnine is not a good thing to eat. However, Nova is one of my oldest and best friends here. I'd trust her with my life. LOL. I know that she has sent me only good things. Someone once sent me a whole cheese. I genuinely did think that might have been a bomb! Instead, it was very tasty!

Oh P1key, how sweet! Just don't eat them all at once, ok...we don't want you to burst out of your lovely bra!
Yes I have received packages from friends that just made be so happy and loved...in a strictly platonic way of course ...it's been a while and lately I'm more likely to be the one sending out these special packages.
YOu know, if we could all just remember that happy feeling we get when we receive something special and then spread the love by sending things to othewrs, we could make the world a little bit happier.

I did once. I received a big box from some very special American friends. Inside was a lovely pair of earrings, a book and several pkts of candy and lots of loose butterfingers which I just love. I had no idea this parcel was coming and it still blows me away that they sent it. Customs got to it before I did and something was missing. When I sent them a parcel at Christmas I sent them them a detailed list of the contents that was signed by me in case anything of theirs went missing. All was ok though.
I'm still hanging out to try Reeses peanut butter cups.

Just yesterday, one of my soapmaking buddies sent me a package of her amazing handmade products because I have been too busy to make my own which is why my store is empty. Ughhhh! Anyway, I'm working on it but it was a really amazing surprise. Nothing brightens up a skinny chicks day like bath and body products. LOL

You know, that is exactly the type of package I like to receive. I've had a couple of online friends who've sent me things like that. Just little bits and pieces of things they thought I'd like and I felt like a child ripping into gifts on Christmas day
I even had one of my American friends send me a 1 lb box of See's candies... mmmm, heaven! I can get them via mail order but for some reason they charge exhorbitant postage costs to send overseas... like for a 1 lb box they charge US$27 postage, when the actual postage would only be about $10 (I think they must add the import/export duties to the postage). Where my friend just sent it as a gift so there were no duties at all.

The postman definately gladened my heart today lol..he brought me a brochure from Highland heritage ..a coach companty that does turkey and tinsel dos.......and a magazine from Simply be..a clothing company which i think does clothing for the larger woman!!!omg.....I expect by now that you goodies have all been devoured....not a snickers left in sight!

Turkey and tinsel dos? In Scotland? Sounds good to me. No, the goodies are being strictly rationed. I have waited 13 years to eat a Heath Bar, I'm not going to gobble them all up in once go. Anyway - I was going to send you a Snickers but you didn't give me your address. Mind you the postman said just write "Ruby" on the box and they'll know immediately who it is for. Such notoriety in one small Derbyshire town.
