Are you like Tim Allen or Bob Villa?

I had a clamp on a pipe break loose last night. So I grabbed a hose clamp and fit it on until I can fix it properly. It got me to thinking sometimes I do okay on small jobs. I can fix the car a bit and do small home repairs. Sometimes it goes great and I feel like Bob Villa. Other times it goes horribly wrong and I end up feeling like Tim Allen. When something breaks in your house are you or your significant other like Bob or Tim? Does it go well or do you end up calling in reinforcements?

I would really like to fix things myself first before I get reinforcements. I like fixing things, when I was a kid I like fixing my broken car toys, or making another one out of the scraps. When it comes to home repairs, I think I will score average. but I will put on my best effort.
By the way, I don't really know Tim Allen and Bob Villa.

I have to say I feel like Bob, I have been fixing things for a long time now, since my hubby passed away. I have even learned how to put furniture together! I very rarely call anyone for help if I don't have to.

Good for you! I can do a lot of the little stuff. I even put in a new toilet this past year.

I like him, too. It's always kind of funny when I am doing repairs so that is what brought it to mind.
