making money on mylot

How is anyone making any money on here? I have responded to discussions and started my own discussions and I have earned the grand total of 13 cents. Can anyone explain to me what I might be doing wrong?

13 cents for a 7 rating is just about right. I don't think you are doing anything wrong with your participation. I was discouraged at how my earnings were slow to grow when I first joined. Then (after a 4 or 5 week break) I realized this site was full of great threads, many about things I knew little about, so I changed my perception of myLot.
I don't look at myLot as a place where I come to earn money. Instead I consider myLot a place where I come to chat with friends and participate in several different subjects. Getting paid is great, but I learn about so many different things, like all of the making money online info. I share knowledge on the subjects I know a little something about... and get paid for doing all of this.

You're right about that... At first I too were after the earnings but after reading some of the thread I found myself getting addicted to the discussions. I love sharing my knowledge and learning new things and ideas from other mylot members.:)

Making a great deal on mylot is quite difficult unless you keep posting non stop and also having a lot of referrals that are active.
For me, I just reply post as and when I liked. I rarely start discussion unless I need to know something or some views.
Its great because I can earn, although not very much, a decent amount for sharing which is kind of cool for me.
