Yellow Tigers

You know we have had cats all my life an my daughter has a thing for yellow tigers we were talking about how rare a male calico is an she metion all her yellow tigers have been boys an now that i got to thinking about it I don't think I have seen a female yellow tiger has anyone ever seen a female yellow tiger

Actually, if you find a male calico, he is probably an "XXY" male. On the other hand, yellow tabbies are 80% males. I have/had 3 orange females. My first, Leontyne, was a real "tomboy." But Scooter, actually the roomie's cat, was a sweet lady and now we have Roxie who is just sweet as can be to people, but really would like to be an only cat. So, yellow/orange tabby females are rare, but not unheard of.

thats why you don't see to many I do know they are the sweetest cats my daughter has had 2 yellow tigers an they were content to just sit by her an purr an I had one years ago that was the same way
