Whats the deal with road rage? Are cities worse than suburbs?

I have been working on Sundays for many years now at the edge of the city, recently I have taken on a weekday, which I finish just as schools are finishing for the day.
OMG! What a difference in the way people treat each other!
Sunday morning is quite surprisingly busy but, quite often I will or others will wait that second or two to let each other in to a lane or turn into a street.
Weekdays NO WAY! Last week within 15 minites, I was nearly slammed into, cut off, had 3 people not only cut me off, but then prop over 2 lanes so that noone could move from behind them.
I think whats even scarier, is that this is when school is out! A lot of these cars are being driven by parents with their kids in the cars.
Don't we all want to get home safe and sound?
I don't mind letting someone in from a side street, especially when I am coming up to a red light ahead, but when they don't even give a quick nod or wave (like thanks bud) and then prop right in front, it makes it a little tempting to join thae rude inconsiderate twirps.
But I won'tjoin em, i'll just be better than them & blow em a 'kiss'

This is a driving tip I will one day give my daughter, "It is not your job to teach people how to drive. We pay the police to do that. There's no need for you to do their job for them if the police aren't going to pay you for your efforts."

Unfortunately, they probably will not help you and do their job until after someone is hurt. I believe they are as corrupt as other public officials and most of them are power hungry. Most of the time, when I need them, they're too late to help.

Unfortunately rude drivers are becoming the norm. People have becomes so impatient and clueless while driving. Half of them are on their cell phones not paying close attention to whats going on. I don't know if there are just more cars on the road or what but I have seen a huge increase in these types of drivers. Anymore you just have to drive defensively.
