There has been this little black and white female kitty that has been hanging around my house for about a month now. I think she is the daughter of my male, FraidyCat, because she looks exactly like him. So I've had no problem with her being around. I mean, I have to put food out for my outside kitties, and I have enough that it's like "what the heck...what's one more?" But the last couple of days, my daughter and her friend have been telling me that they swear they have seen a kitten on the sofa on my front porch. I kept telling them they were seeing things....until last night that is. My daughter's friend decided to go and look UNDER the sofa, and sure enough a pair of tiny glowing eyes were staring back at me. So I decided to look for myself, but instead of only one pair of eyes looking back, there were THREE pairs! And boy are they cutie pies! One of them is silver tabby and white, the other is white with grey splotches, and the third one (my personal favorite) is cream colored with light grey siamese markings on its' tail and ears. God help me, but I'm already getting attached to the little buggers! As if I need the number of cats in my home to go up to FIFTEEN! UGH! Has anyone else had any unexpected "family members" show up lately? Hugs to all...............Carryl

These little buggers are so wild that I think they would tear up the box before I could get it ready to send to you. LOL! They are so adorable, but I think I'm going to have to trap them and take them to the local cat rescue. I really don't want them making more babies, and they will be old enough here really soon. Plus, two MORE showed up a couple of days ago. But those two are tame and in my house. And people wonder why my user name is Katlady......

Actually, my kids discovered that there are 4 new babies! What the heck....the more the merrier, right? LOL! I'm waiting another week or so and then I'm going to call PAWS and see if they can come and try to catch them and take them. They are just too wild to be around here. I'd give them kisses and hugs for you but I think I would get my eyes scratched out or my lips removed. LOL

Sorry but I had to laugh. I've had a few show up at my house but not lately. I am up to 6 dogs and 17 cats. You need a few more cats to beat me.

Hi Carryl...they sound like such little cuties. I wouldn't be able to resist them. How do you manage to feed them all? This would be my biggest problem. I spend more on Banjo's cat food than I spend on the 2 dogs and two goats put together.

They are adorable for sure. I'm lucky in that all of my cats prefer Cat Chow to the expensive brands, so it's not quite as painful. Anything else, and they seem to get really sick from it. Hugs!

I've had a cat adopt me before. I was living in an apartment building. Not only was my apartment in the back of it, but I was on the bottom floor. When I opened my window, the ground was at the same level as my windowsill. Anyway, one night me and my kids father were in the house, not doing anything in particular, when an all-black cat just jumped into the window and looked at us as if to say, "Y'all ain't got no cat, and I ain't got no master, so this is my new home!" I am not superstitious; I actually like black cats because they look like miniature black panthers to me, so we kept the cat for a little while. Unfortunately you weren't supposed to have pets in these apartments, and of course, being the neighborhood that it was, someone told the rental office that I had a pet. I got a letter saying that I had to leave because of the cat, and of course I got rid of the cat! I told the rental office that I never had one. I miss midnight though....

We get a lot of strays. Do you not get your cats fixed though? Then there wouldn't be so many stray cats.

I do get my cats fixed. I was down to having only one left to get fixed, but now it looks like that number just went up. But I will get them in one way or another. I definitely don't need anymore kitties that what I already have. LOL! Thanks for the response, and welcome to Mylot.

There are three beautiful black kittens in the courtyard at my apartment complex, I am currently trying to catch one--as if I needed another furbaby. But I know the humane society here is full up with kittens and if I don't catch one or more of them then they will grow up wild. I'll let you guys know if I catch one.

I have the feeling that I'm going to end up keeping this bunch too. Hubby is just shaking his head at me. He knows what a sucker I am for kitties. LOL

Oh noooooooooooooo!! lol Just what you need, more cats, Kat. I hear ya thou. Just can't resist those lil babies when they look at you with saucer-eyes asking you to cuddle and feed them. No, I really don't get any cats around here even thou I know there are strays. Back when Lightning was alive, every time he went outside to go potty, he would make it well-known to any strays to stay away from his yard so I never really seen any. Now that he is gone, I do see a few but they high-tail it soon as they see me. I don't mind them hanging around myself but I can't set food out for them being the racoons and other night creatures will eat it b4 the cats get a chance to.

These new ones won't let me get too close to them yet. But being the softie that I am, I'm trying to work on them. Looks like they are here to stay. AAAAAARRRRRRRRGH! LOL

I was handed off 2 more kittens and later this week a lady that the roomie works with is going to bring her "bad" cat. This cat hates her boy friend and pees on his stuff and any place he's been. I figure she needs to get a new boyfriend.

It sounds like she should take heed of the cat's opinion of the guy. LOL! Good kitty!

That happens here all of the time, we live in the country and everytime you turn around there are new cats that are coming around here, and we just feed them because we can't just let them go hungry...and we always think well they'll keep down snakes and things like that but the only problem is our cats are extremely lazy lol...they just eat and lay around all day in the shade and half of the time whenever they are eating they will lay down and eat because again their too lazy to stand up!

LOL! Sounds like mine! I wish I lived in the country. Then I wouldn't be so worried about having so many. But I live in a rural town, not even near the outskirts. So having a herd of kitties is not the best thing to do. Darn it! LOL

I guess your new pets motto is "the more the merrier!" and wow fifteen is a heck of a lot too. Having them adopt you with 3 or 4 at a time isn't helping either. When I moved into my present home I was "adopted" by a tortoise shell cat. She would make herself at home. I mean really at home. When the carpet guys came to lay the carpet they had to move the furniture and this cat had curled up in a chair. The carpet guy said hey what about this cat? I said oh just move the chair, if she doesn't like it then she'll jump off. Well she didn't jump off, she didn't even move or look up! Just went on napping as if nothing had happened. I think her real mommy moved house because one day she just wasn't around anymore.

Awww...how cute! She knew where she wanted her home to be. This new bunch has made themselves pretty comfortable on my outside sofa, so I think they are here to stay. LOL
