How do you select a soap for body use? A soap that smells great, a soap with lot of foam, or some other thing which influence your buying choice?

I use two kinds of soap for my face and for my body coz they have different type of skin. Face soap should be milder from your body soap. I used baby soap for my body coz its gentle and will not leave your skin dry and for my face which is unscented. Sometimes i use my body soap as shampoo if i have pimples in my scalp(pimples in my scalp and not in my face, weird but im thankful).

I always wanted a whitening soap to prevent my skin from darkening. The soap must have a rich lather and have a great smell. It should also be not so expensive and makes my skin beautiful.

Unfortunately, I get eczema if i don't use soap for sensitive skin only. Sometimes its hard to find though. Dove Sensitive is my favorite. I also have to use laundry soap that is "Free and Clear". I wish I could use all the fancy nice smelling body washes though. My girls always smell so good after they shower! I just have to be happy with not smelling at all..lol

I have so many bottles of body wash that I received as gifts that i dont have a choice anymore lol. I just grab one that appeals to me at the moment. But when I do pick my own it is always based on price I am a clearance shopper.

My hubby and daughter both have sensitive skin. So they are my 1st consideration. I try to buy things that won't irritate their fair skin. Then I try and get soaps that don't leave a residue. Something that will rinse off easily.

I choose soap by the scent. I'm one of those weird people in the store who goes around sniffing everything.

Well I just buy the cheapest brand in the shop. We live on a budget so have to have a low cost shopping list. The children put the soap in the bath, use it as a boat etc so sometimes the bar of soap doesn't last very long, and I do like the children to have fun in the bath. People do buy the children posh bubble bath etc for christmas's and birthday's and they have extra fun that way.

I look for ones that contain moisturizer since I have really dry skin. After that I smell them and find the one with the least perfume. Scent is something that bothers my husband so it has to be subtle.

I usually chose my soap based on how much it lathers and how much moisture it provides. I don't like soap that leaves you dry after you use it like those cheap soaps. My husband doesn't understand why I buy expensive soap, but he wouldn't like it very much if my skin was dry and broke out because of cheap soap. My husband buys his soap based on how good it smells. He likes Irish Spring and I use Oil of Olay with that silk stuff. It makes my skin super soft. Thanks for the discussion. Bye

I like a soap that smells nice, rinses off easily and does not leave soap residue on the shower or tub.
