In Case Any One Missed Me - I'm Back - Computer Problems

How many of you have suddenly disappeared offline for a few days due to connectivity problems. My provider had a major problem on Thursday May 29th and it has onlt just been resolved now after calling many a call centre everyday to resolve the issue including me paying £30 a hour for someone else to try sort when it was provider error which they will reimburse which is good.
Do you have problems getting through to the help lines?
How many hours, days had it taken to sort?
Are you one of the lucky ones that hasn't experienced this yet?
Please share and to all my friends on here sorry I haven't replied but will try to play catch up. Ellie :D

Oh I did have problems with internet connections at times and I really was irritated for it not working for hours..once it did it for 2 days. Now our internet is off because I haven't paid for it yet. I am just doing this at work while boss is not looking. lol

I haven't been here much do to vacation and I am only back for one day before I take off again. Glad you got back online again. While I was gone my son in law worked on my website and he had to call the help line....there was a 30 minute waiting period! He finally fixed it himself as yahoo was having problems!

First of Welcome back and second sure u were missed
well will u believe that same day i had the problem and i were unable to sign in at mylot for 3 days, i dont know why but it took me three days, so i were off from mylot for threee days as well

yeah it was co incidence, and isnt it same day we met and exchange pnt msgs. LOl
i am sure u r not superstitious and wont start thinking that i am bad luck to U. U r right every thing has pluys points and u just have to explore ot, so it means these 3 days it was u, iron and piles of clothes.
however now u r back and i am sure we will be in touch, take care

Hi Candee, Good to see you back too! My son is fine, full of energy as usual. I used the time offline to catch up on the ironing and boring stuff really but you saying you have been concentrating on your project reminds me that I really should get down to some serious studying I have 5 more modules to do. What is your project about? Good for you for staying offline to do it also. Keep up the good work. Ellie :D

That's great to hear! Actually I am doing bachelor in business (BBA) and its quite tough and to top that I have to earn for myself. It's really hectic but feels good when I achieve something good.
So, you must be done wth your chores. What are thinking to do now?

We had some problems the first month or so with our current internet provider. Usually it wasn't too hard to get through to them. The problems we were having took a good two weeks or so before we could get our isp to listen to us about what the problem was and finally do something about it.

Hi Timothy, it is just frustrating isn't it when there are problems. I don't think we realise how reliant on be online we become until the service is suddenly not there. I a pleased to hear that your teething problems with this provider have been resolved and hope tbat they are going to compensate you in some way to for the two weeks. Ellie :D

Yeah it really is amazing how much you rely on being on the internet and don't realize it until you can't do it. Oh yeah they gave us credit twice for all the down time that we had thankfully.

hey i had a similar problem before.i had been offline for many days because of that.it really feels bad to miss chatting with your friends on the net because of the problem caused by the provider.i was offline for about 6 days because of that.

I have discovered that several of us here were having these problems at about the same time. How strange is that? It would be understandable if we were all from the same place but we are from different countries. Perhaps we are all connected through myLot in some way....spooky.

I was thinking you were in vacation ellie, LOL! I have experienced that last week and for 2 days, I have no connection, it's actually on and off! It's very disappointing especially if I want to reach my goal every week!

Hi Ellie-yes I have had a few problems andhave had to have them sorted out so have had to be off line for a couple of days too-but have tried co catch up with everyone after-but still have a few to answer from quite a while back-hugs littleowl

Hi Littleowl, Well done for playing catch up so well the last time I was away for a few days I had so many that I had to delete as inbox full and work from discussions my friends started. It must be quiter here at moment though as was only up to 700+ this time when eventually got back on line. Glad your problems were resolved too. Ellie :D

Hi Ellie-not all my probs are over yet! I still have a couple of hundred to answer then next week am going away for a few days so how many I'll have then-hopefully will be able to catchup with those I have already so there wont be too may next week -hugs littleowl

Hi P1kef1sh, I made sure every call I made I logged their name so they cannot argue and eventually last night when I spoke to the first person I said no disrespect but I wish to be put through to the head of the department as I have been speaking to people since Thursday re this issue and it still isn't resolved. It was after that within the hour that I was back online and I also got the guy who sorted it name also. I then went to customer services and requested reimbursement of all costs including calls to other companies and they gave me a month free line rental immediately as an apology and are sorting out the rest.
I hope I haven't missed too much on here, especially some of your jokes, LOL but I will play catch up. Ellie :D

I haven't had any provider problems but when I turned on myy computer this morning it would not boot and I thought oh no here we go again with problems but I reset it and turned it on again'and it began its noisy hum an I was in business again. before 'I had power source problems that were not resolved until
my son put in a new power source. at least right now my
'computer is humming right along. its an old computer but'
works just fine.

so this is the reason why i didn't see you in mylot dear friend. its nice to know that your computer problem getting fixed up at this moment
however, in your case i see that you are lucky than me cause in my precious provider we just can't do anything while they just said there is problem in their network its more than 2 weeks and it made me to decide to change my old provider

Of course you were missed! I wondered about you, darlin. And I'm so glad you're back, welcome. As for myself, I haven't had any problems at all since we got the new computer, but before that, it was awful, just awful. So I fully sympathize with you. Don't wear yourself out catching up though. One thing at a time. See ya out there.

Hello, ellie, no wonder that you're inactive for several days, glad that you finally return back, welcome, lol. I have experience this several times. Duration's not the same, sometimes several hours, if not that lucky, it's be days. And i feel upset about disconnection, do you? Anyway, it's ok now, good~~

Hi Lynette, I was getting very frustrated with it and thought about throwing the computer out of the window at some stage LOL but all has been resolved so I am really glad I didn't eh! Sorry to hear that you experience connectivity problems like that and yes if that kept happen I would be upset too. Ellie :D

Oh,our provider should have back-up isn't it.I do have experienced having problems with my provider lately but they have provided us alternative access using other lines so we shut down for only half day and got operational in the afternoon.The original connections was then return after a week.Thanks.

That's sad, why do you have to pay?
Anyway, I'm new here and trying to familiarize mylotters. And I bet a lot of your friends miss you here. You've got 2 thousand plus posts so your that good being in here.

Hi theMARKER, I finally have it all resolved and the reason I had to pay was because the ISP provider siad it was an error with my computer but when engineer came out he said it wasn't but I had to pay £30 to him for the hour anyway. This will be reimbursed from provider though so not a problem. Thanks for your kind words. I hope I stay connected forever also. Ellie :D
