What is one book that changed you, for better or worse? Did it make you have a greater appreciation for something or someone? Did it open you eyes to a different point of view? Did you develop a hatred for someone or something after reading a book? I would love to know.

This is another book that I was required to read in school and I am glad that I did. I am also white and reading this book did change my opinions of other races different than my own. It allowed me to see the struggle that others have and to go through and made me realize how fortune I was to not have to fight the same battles. It heightened my respect and appreciation for those that did

Hello, optimisticgrl23. I must say, your question is very thought-provoking. I really had to stop and reflect over the years as I've read so many books and can't remember alot of them. One book I read that I just sunk into was, "She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb. It's fiction, but the story the author wove was just so poignant and touching. The main character was so real, I felt I knew her. And her childhood took place in the story about the time that mine did. Thus, I very much related to this major character. When I completed the book, I was so sad that it was over. I mean, this was the first book I ever read that I had that feeling--I was actually sad that there was no more to read! I read the book probably 4 or 5 (or more) years ago, but I still think about it. I ought to read it again, it's in there on the shelf. Thanks for this question, optimisticgrl23. It was a great one. I think that The Secret certainly had an impact on my life. I dont know if it changed anything. I'm still thinking about it. It takes some effort to put it into practice in your life.

I have read many books but there a re few of them that really changed me. One is Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. This book has changed me in a lot of ways and I think its the best self help book of all time. Another book is Robert Kiyosaki's rich dad poor dad, this book has changed the way I think of money. If anybody wants to take control of their financial life then its a must have.

That "would be Attitudes that Attract Success" by Wayne Cordeiro. This was given to me by my Team at the office just before we got separated. This has changed my life and directed my point of view to more important things in life. It's all about positive thinking and is inspired by religion. This book made me appreciate all the things in life. May it be good or bad (blessing in disguise). Every moment counts. Life is short.

The book that has changed me i would say is the 'Solitaire mystery' by Jostein Gaarder. It changed my complete outlook on myself, who i am and the world i live in. It stirred so much creativeness within me and as an art student it changed how i express myself. The biggest thing i believe that this book give me was the realization of the love i have of philosophy! since then i have studied philosophy and read as much as i can in the area. Philosophy in turn has made me question who i am and the world i live in. Its made me really look at myself and my beliefs, values and morals.
