Its sounds gross to me but eating insects, spiders and scorpions may be healthly and could be good for the environment. Scoffing bugs - also known as entomophagy - is beneficial because of the protein they contain and the reduced strain on the planet cause in cultivating the insects, which requires preserving rather than felling forests. Bugs are eaten in 113 countries often as a meat substitute. But in the West, they are 'underused'.
So next you plan to go shopping, head to where there are loads of insects and stock up on them instead!! I know I wont be doing it!! lol

Oh yuck! I just won't be able to bring myself to eat a bug. It just seems too gross!

reading this reminds of the fear factor i just watched. i am not watching this show so it was my first time. they made the contestants eat bugs and insects and worms too. i know they wont make their contestants eat something that they know would cause a bad thing with their bodies but it is really not a good sight for me. i am also shock that the contestant really gave it a shot but you can see at their faces how gross they feel.

I am probably not as averse to it as many would be. I fully see that eating insects will probably be the way of the future, with sustainability in mind.

I know of places where bugs are eaten from things I have seen on tv, plus, I watch I'm a celebrity get me out of here!
I could not, I repeat not, eat a bug of any description, just the thought turns my stomach. So no, they will not be on my shopping list at all. Well unless they were really cheap, I could always feed them to the rest of the family and maybe save some money ha ha. But I would never eat anything like that, I just could not, I would definately rather skip a meal.

I imagine that, early on at least, the products would be non-animal protein. Hot dog's things like that, that already contain insect protein anyway and that are wasy to make taste like the original. More "exotic" things would come later.....
