Hot Air Ballons

Have you ever ridden in a hot air balloon? Would you ever ride in one? Living in Albuquerque, NM, the home of hot air ballooning, allows you to see the morning sky sprinkled with dozens of them. The feeling looks so free and exciting. I know some people are afraid of heights but if you could ride in one wouldn't that be the most incredible high? Lift off your responses.

I have never ever ridden in a hot air balloon, and I don't think I would really like to either. I wouldn't really want to go in an areoplane either. They do look good in the sky and a few months ago on our way home from an day trip with the children we pasted aballoon display, they children found it very funny seeing the funny shaped hot air balloons alone side the proper shape ones.

I have never had a ride in a hot air balloon..And I don't think I will ever have one..I'm afraid of heights..Even while travelling in a flight I always wonder how and what controls this superbird..And a air balloon is something amazing too..I'm curious to have a ride..But I don't think I have that much of guts to have fun in the ride..I would be really thinking about what will happen if something goes wrong..This will really stop me from having fun..So I don't think I can have a ride in future too.

Sounds like you have a fear of control too, so do I, I want to be in control and riding in a hot air balloon would cause me to let that go. Maybe some day you'll give it a shot.

I have wanted to do this for years. I even have a few blown glass and fabric hot air balloons hanging around my house. I know I would be nervous doing it but it is something I want to be able to say I have done. I love watching them float by, Hubby and brother-in-law and sona and nephew and I saw one float over my mother-in-laws home. So we hopped in the car and followed it all over the place until it landed at a farm outside the city. We had fun.

No I have never ridden in a hot air balloon and I really never would. It is not the sort of thing that I have ever fancied doing, but then again I am not really the adventurous type anymore. I love to watch them, we see quite a few where I live and the kids and I often stare out of the window to watch them going over the hills in the distance. Funnily enough my Mum is toying with the idea of us getting my Dad and my eldest son a ride in one for their birthdays, they both share the same birthday!

Seems this is interesting adventure that I can consider in the future.Though I would need to make sure that I have all the safety tools in my self before doing so,but seems cool, with out not much noise compare to air plain.

I think the only noise would be the air around you.

Even thou I will never get in a plane, I do want very much to ride in a hot air balloon. The fair here usually has hot air balloon rides most years but the price is just out of our reach. Hubby will never go in one but I asked my daughter about it last year when we saw them getting ready to go up if she would want to go on a ride with me. She wants to as well so this year if we get to the fair, I'm going to try and save a lil money so we can go up in one.

I would love to go up in a hot air balloon as long it is in good working order and is has an expert pilot. I have seen balloon races here in California and saw one balloon snag on some trees so I think that an experience pilot would be a must.

This would either cure you or keep you so grounded you wouldn't even want to jump rope! Conquer!!

Oh It looks like so much fun! But it's not that I'm afraid of heights, I'm afraid of not having conrol of where I'm going, and not having my feet on the ground or something I can hold onto. If I could get rid of that fear or anxiety, that seems like it would something really fun to do!

I've never taken a ride in a hot air balloon. They look really cool, and i'm sure it's an amazing experience, but i'd be absolutely terrified. Heights don't scare me exactly, but the idea of falling from a great height does. I wouldn't even be brave enough to look over the side, just in case I went tumbling out of it.

Then don't look down. I would have a fear of falling out too.

We have a lot of hot air balloons over some of the areas near where I live. I have never ridden in one, but I don't know if I would like to. I never really liked small aircraft because they move around too sharply and are easily blown in the wind. I'm always afraid that I will fall out of them. I don't know how some people can hang out of the open door of a helicopter because I would be sure to fall out. So, I will probably never ride in a hot air balloon unless it was some very special reason.

It would have to be for your sake, I wouldn't hang out of a helicopter either, I'm crazy not nuts.

I've been up in a hot air ballon twice, and the experiences were fabulous. I'd love to do it again. Both flights were in the early evening, and it was brilliant to fly over an area that I knew fairly well and see cars on the roads, people in their gardens, dogs barking.

Around here where I live they have the hot air balloon festivals all the time. I've never been to one tho, by the time I find out they had one, its already over. But no, I don't think I would ride in one, I'm scared of heights, and I would probably end up having a heart attack or something..lol. It does look fun, and they are pretty to watch.

I have not ridden a hot air balloon, but it is one of my wishes in life. Whenever I see it on TV, it really amazes me to hop into that basket and be blown up ...up...high u in the sky. It is so exciting to be up there...says those who have tried it. I am not afraid of heights...so I think I will enjoy it up there. Take care
