Unfortunately, well perhaps not, they split in 1969. (Sorry, but I'm more of a Rolling Stones kinda guy!)
Siouxsie and the Banshees did a great cover version of 'Dear Prudence' though.

We have the same feelings for the 80's sound, the new wave era. I actually have a playlist of those music that is being played in my Yuwie page. Here are some songs like will always wanted to hear from that genre...
1. Alphaville's "Forever Young" and "Big in Japan"
2. The Cars' "Drive" and "You Might Think"
3. Depeche Mode's "Everything Counts"and "People are People"
4. Duran Duran's "Come Undone" and "Save A Prayer"
5. Fra Lippo Lippi's "Beauty and Madness", "Distance Between Us" and "Everytime I See You"

Yes I know, gang (dhangski). That was the best thing that made us so close despite the "Distance Between Us"...
And now, we are 3. What can you say, MySTiQue?

80's songs is my genre. My favorites are, A-ha's Take on me, Toto's Africa and Rosanna. Spandau Ballet's Through the barricade, gold, true. Vitamin Z's Burning Flame. I never tire of listening to 80's songs. I have some on my playlist. And when I really do like to listen to pure 80's song, I just go to my friend neildc's page at yuwie and hang out there while I do my internet stuffs.

You sound like a closet New Romantic. I started a discussion about a year ago, trying to bring New Romanticism back into the limelight, with little success - feel free to read it.
I was a nightclub/concert DJ in Manchester and Newcastle (both England) during the eighties, so could give you a list as long as both your arms. Instead I'll stick to a few real classics, along the lines of Duran/A-ha.
'First picture of you' - the Lotus Eaters
'Another girl, another planet' - the Only Ones
'Love is a wonderful colour' - the Icicle Works
'18 carat love affair' - the Associates
'Motion of love' - Gene Loves Jezebel
'Poison Arrow' - ABC
'Mind of a toy' - Visage
'In the clouds' - All About Eve
'17 again' - Eurythmics
'Life in Tokyo' - Japan
'Lost weekend' - Lloyd Cole & the Commotions
'Def Con 1' - Pop Will Eat Itself
That should keep you going on Limewire for a few minutes. Hope you enjoy them.

I love the 1980's music!!
Duran Duran was my favorite group and they still are to this day!! I love "The Reflex", "New Moon On Monday", "Rio", "Planet Earth", from Duran Duran.
Also, I loved Depeche Mode, Howard Jones, The Thompson Twins, Culture Club....
I could just go on and on. I still listen to those songs to this day. They had great dance music and it reminds me of my youth I guess...
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I could be here all night! LOL
I can tell you that my first crush and concert was Rick Springfield. I could not get enough of him. He still looks good now.
One of my favorite songs is Vacation by The Go-Gos. It's like Take On Me - can never get tired of it! Some others are I Want Candy by Bow Wow Wow, Pretty In Pink by Psychedelic Furs, and Space Age Love Song and Wishing (I Had A Photograph of You) by A Flock of Seagulls.
Def Leppard was also a big part of my life. Absolutely love them.
Like I said, I could be here all night. I absolutely love the 80's but my brain is fried at the moment and I would have to come back for more. I'm sure as soon as I hit post, something else will come to me!
