Do you want to get married?

I'm engaged to be married right now and I'm afraid to get married. I know I love him but he can be difficult to deal with sometimes. I also feel like I'm giving up my freedom by marrying him, but I'm not really using my freedom anyway so what's the difference, right? I don't believe in divorce (I at least don't think it's an option) so when I marry him it'll be forever. People just need to remember that marriage is about love. And love is a choice not just a feeling. You may choose to love someone because you like it, but you can also love someone even if you don't like them.

In marriage, a lot of consequences and responsibilities are to be considered. For me,love is not the main factor of the readiness of the couple. Love is not proved by binding couples into marriage. It is just a ceremony of binding. It is still depends upon the couples' relationship, how they deal will with the responsibilities that only the both of them can,should,and will handle as husband and wife. Someone said to me that the most crucial stage of marriage is the first five years. It is the getting to know stage wherein the couple is still grasping for each others differences.

Those are very good questions. I ask myself too ! But , yet, I am not really ready to get into a marriage relationship.

Really? You should think about it !And it is serious for you if you make a wrong decision.

xiaojing_ What I've decided is that forever doesn't really exist. I've been married and then divorced. If I promised to love forever, what does that mean? When we love someone forever, it means we love them as far into forever as we can imagine. Forever only means forever in your mind, not in the real world. If you love someone, don't worry about forever.

Unfortunately I am single right now but as for the marriage question, I don't know. For years I have thought of myself as fiercely independent and did not plan on ever getting married. Now I am starting to entertain the thought. I am not looking to find someone to marry but if that person finds me than that is a whole other story.
