I've been bowling in a league for about 6 years and I carry a 212 average and I love the sport and it is fun but it's not like it was before I joined a league. Now that I've been bowling for a long time I only have fun when I bowl good. My high game is a 298 and I'm still working on the 300. I've also bowled a 293 and 289. But the fun has went out the window. If I don't bowl atleast a 200 you don't want to be around be. So what about you do you bowl for fun or competition?

I use to be on a bowling league not as good as you rather far from. My average was 121. I now just bowl for just fun. My husband and I will go once in awhile. When I moved to SC I forgot my bowling ball in California so he bought me a new one. But since he bought me a new ball we haven't been back....lol guess should of just used the lane balls but the new one was his idea. Good luck I hope you get to 300.

Truthfully, I would have to say when I was on Bowling leagues, it was a little bit of both, as there is the competition factor, but then there is the Fun factor of it as well. Bowling is actually a very Fun sport, and it is Fun to watch a person as they improve each time they bowl as well. When I was on a league I got a High Series award, and a Most improved award. Just not sure I can bowl anymore due to Health issues, and I really miss doing so all of the time as well.

WOW! I wish I could bowl that great. I seem to embarrass myself every time I go bowling with my friends. Lets just say, I;m lucky if my score makes it to triple digits. I once went to a bowling class but I quit after 2 sessions (obviously). I do enjoy bowling for fun with friends but I would probably find it more enjoyable if everyone wasn't always laughing at my ridiculously bad skills.
