Funny! I have a beagle named Max also. He was named Max McGuire by the kids that originally owned him. We call him Max though. He is often referred to as Maxie Doodle and Doggie Doodle sometimes.
Jolie one of our other dogs is sometimes called Jo-Jo or sometimes I just call her girly girl.
Bandit I call Bandi-Boo or Bandito.
George is just George or sometimes I call him a butt head.
Buddy is sometimes called Bud-Bud or Butter or Butter Butt.
Gabby is sometimes referred to as wild kitty because well, she is a wild cat.

Oh my goodness! Maxie Doodle sounds so familiar. I think I may have called my dog that a few times before! Lol.
I can't believe your Max is a beagle too. That is so cool.
Do you have any pics you can post of yours?
I can't post pictures right here in the discussions yet...don't have enough points, but I have already uploaded several pictures of my Max in the 'Beagles' section, if you feel like looking through those to find mine.

My dog's name is Trixie. Sometimes I call her Trixie-Poo, Stinky, Doo Doo, Puppers, and other such nonsense. I never thought I'd be one of those people who used the word "poo" as part of a pet's nickname. Now look what I've become.

our cat is called miming, its not realy a name but its the way we call cats here if we want them to come to us, but since no one has given it a name miming became its unofficial name, our dog is called clinton, my father renamed it it use to have a different name before but hed noticed that our dog realy like girl dogs alot, so thats why the name, it was back in the days when the clinton lewinsky issue was still new, that was when he renamed our dog

My puppies name is Sky-Lyn, I don't call her anything else. My other dogs I did. Like Duke was Dukers and Rock was Rockie. But with this one for some reason I can't call her a nickname. Just doesn't seem right. Now my boyfriend will call her Cujo or Skillin. Not sure where he came up with the Skillin. She doesn't come to the names, just kind of looks at him funny.

We have a cat named Louise we call her Weazy. She responds to both. She is afraid of her shadow and we call it Cheesy or Weazy's Cheesy. I know, I know silly!!!
We have 2 other cat Lucky is Luckster and Buster is just buster he is very much an airhead and to call him anything else would totally confuse him. He is a daddy's boy though BIG TIME!

There's a lot of nicknames I give to my pets. On my Dog, named Hershey. . . Sometimes I call her Shey and her daughter Fulgosa, I called sometimes Fhulghos, hahahahaha. . . Our cats have different nicknames, the oldest one, elma (ELM), Lucky (LuckisH), Angel (GeLai) and ZsaSha (chacha). I do call them in different names cause sometimes they do things like purring or barking which i find very cute, sometimes they just play around both Cats and Dos, Like a one big family. They are so cute. That is why they are given nicknames accidentally.

I just got a new kitten and he was already named onyx. We have already started calling her "onnie" for short, it kinda cute. It seems every animal I have slowly but surely they end up with a ton of nicknames, dont know where I come up with some of them haha.
