What's the craziest thing...

what's the craziest thing that has happened to you when you moved into a new (to you) house or apartment?
When I was 3, we moved to a house that had a horribly overgrown yard. My dad and uncles and my dad's friends worked for days tearing out vines and weeds and cutting down trees because their roots were clogging the septic system. After about 3 days, they discovered a huge play house that had been covered by all the overgrown plants and vines.
When I was in jr. high, my folks built a new house and mom had blue toilet and tub put in the master bath and purple in the other one. Problem is that everyone in the neighborhood found out, and while the house was being built they all (adults and kids) went inside to see. They even stood in the bathtubs with shoes on, so when we moved in they were all scratched up.
In high school, we moved to another house. The furnace needed to be changed from coal (really!) to gas. While the workers were going through the house looking at ductwork and vents, they discovered a HUGE bees nest in one vent that went under the floorboards. They ran from the house and refused to come back again until we'd had an exterminator. Meanwhile, we all went to sleep on the floor of my aunt's house a few blocks away.

good discussion,because i have moved times,there were many srange things.two years ago,my home moved from a place to another place,at that time i was in high school,i didn`t know that day was the moving day,so at night when i after school,i came back to my old house as usual,but when i reached home,i was scared,where was the furniture,where was everything? any other one had came here and stole the things? at that time ,my father called me and told me we had moved away.^^
