Do you have a map of the world on the wall at home?

I have a plastic globe. It is inflated with air which I had blown into it. It has the size one and a half time larger than the basket ball. It is quite convenient for me to check the location of any place or country in the world, especially when I come across any countries which I am not familiar with. The globe is a good teaching aid for our kids so that they could have the rough idea how the earth is, as well as where the countries are located.

well i have a small globe at home and i can easily pinpoint some continents or island...i guess we need to have one...that is helpful for the children at school or even to us

No, I don't have a map in my house. And I have poor geographical knowledge, maybe this is a good idea to improve my geographical knowledge.

Now i have no map at all on the wall.But i used to have one when i was in the elementary school.Now i am good at geograghy and it is not necessary to hang it on the wall.Hehehe.But it is really a good idea of making a sign of those places you`ve visited.Maybe i should learn sht from you.lol

I have a full wall map of the world in my office in an old workshop outside, it takes up two whole walls, floor to ceiling and the whole length of the walls. I also have another map on the wall in my office inside the house, but it is a mural I am creating of the world I write fantasy stories in. I love maps. It is so kewl to just look at places and study how they look on a map. I never fail to find something new that I had never seen before when I look at the map out in the outside office.

I have a very big map of the world in my bedroom for nearly 10 years. Since I know more friends via the net and I need to know more about their countries. Now I have one more bigger map of the world in the living-room. As I start to teach my son about the geography and he is very interested in learning it. It's very interesting that I tell him if he eats more, his height will be up to Russia:) I love China

Good for you! I just bought one to put on my wall. I think it's helpful to know where places are. My geography is pretty good, but I still get confused sometimes. With globalization making the world smaller and smaller I like to know what's going and where. Now I just need to pick one up of the States so I can start marking off the places I have traveled. Eventually I would like to do some traveling abroad and will mark those places as well.
