Which came FIRST? SUN or EARTH?

Science tells that SUN is older than EARTH and it also tells that EARTH and other planets originated from the SUN by planetesimals.. Bible Tells GOD created EARTH first and found darkness.. so he later created SUN and MOON.. So which is true? SUN first or EARTH first?

obv. sun came first... you can't question that :P bible was written by humans... i'd say more than 35% of the stuffs were created by em only...!!

..how did scientists date and then confirm the date of the sun?

I really dont know how did scientists date that the sun is older than earth.. I think you better ask this question to a scientist directly...

A deity who can create the vast universe and all the complexity of life, would have no problem designing the earth first.. It's utterly impossible for everything to have exploded out of nothing.

firstly... how did BIBLE dated sun and earth!! secondly... the age is calculated by the intensity of light emitted by it!! a newly born star has bluish glow and a dyin one has red!! search wikipedia.com for more on it!! but the method to measure yr. is scientific... and without doubt!! moreover... earth cannot exist first...!! as when a star is made it groups all surrounding bodies!! if that would have happened... then earth would have shattered into pieces... due to other materials that sun brought under its gravity!!

i think the sun is first created, then the earth and other planet. the bible is a religious work, not a scientific work. if we want to find the real event in the history of the universe, the bible is not the right source to refer to.
