Getting "Bounced" by myLot...

Hi fellow vagabonds,
Has anyone else tried to post a comment in a discussion thread, only to have it "bounced" (seemingly) and ending up back at the (now blank) text editor box each time the "preview comment" or "post comment" button is pressed?
I've encountered this problem repeatedly when trying to post a comment in one particular discussion thread. Logged out, did other stuff for about 5 hours, logged back in, exact same problem in the exact same place!
Is it just a bug, have I done something wrong, does myLot just truly ruly hate me, or is there something more sinister afoot?
I would not be surprised if my particular post would be pivotal to preventing World War III, and so must be stopped at all costs. Hey, it's happened before - but that's another story...

I've had some trouble replying to things. When it comes to adding those dumb tags, I hit submit and I'm taken to a blank screen with a strange series of numbers and letters as the address.

Hi dragon54u,
Thanks for sharing. I reckon there's something wrong at myLot's end, because I haven't changed what I've been doing. Probably ditto your case too.
It might be myLot is choking on the flood of riveting discussions, or maybe it's achieved self-awareness and is itself riveted by the discussions (soon to be followed by the launch of nuclear missiles against each author).

Hi again,
I think I found what was causing my attempts to post a comment to have a cow...
I had a certain syntactic construction at the start of the comment that apparently doesn't compute (at least, not for myLot).
When I removed that text, the comment magically went through!
So I guess we're safe for the time being (unless myLot is just playing dumb until the time is right to strike...)

No I've not experienced such a peculiar problem as yet. However, I must add that I'm a newcomer only and posted very few number of posts. So such thing I might not be knowing till now but I may encounter the same in future. Therefore, please let me know that what is the cause of such problem and how we can get around it. Thanks.

Hi suruchi86,
You should be safe, so long as you haven't started any discussions yourself.
If myLot is going to target posters, then there's only enough nuclear missiles to hit the discussion authors, and NOT all the people who have replied to them.
But in the name of Heaven, don't start any new discussions yourself!!!

well, i understand the situation like that and it was really annoying too when its happened to me. i just remember the first time mylot code implemented in here, i can't access mylot page with IE ver 6.0 from my office
it was really ridiculous since my office connection not allowed to access others web browser except IE ver 6.0 and i just really bothering for few days until i contact mylot to fix up this matter.
i just wish all of glitch can be minimized soon as possible by mylot

Hi plumwish07,
I imagine a browser incompatibility would be quite hard for a myLot user to solve, if the user was limited to just one type of browser.
I guess myLot has done a good job of getting most things running well, though there are still occasional glitches.

That particular problem DoDoGuy, I have not had the pleasure to experience. Wish I could help you. How long has it been since you cleaned out cookies and temp folders? What browser are you using? Sometimes I find that firefox is more compatible with mylot than IE.

I see now that this post of yours is a week old. Forgive me if you have already figured out the problem.

How dreadfully annoying...frustratin' even. I would think the server was doing maitenance but would it take that long?
I'll have to try and remember this in case it ever happens to me and I don't go and slit my wrists in despair. I've heard other members mention similar hiccups.

No, I don't believe that has ever happened to me. It doesn't surprise me that it happened to you though. See, we are all catching on to how devious a mind you really have. All the secrets of the universe are locked up in that brain of yours, and it would be a catastrophe if they were ever let out. After all, I bet you know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop.
