I hadearlier made a US searchengine as home page, thinking that they pay for using their site as home page. But then they sold the site to another agency and I did not get any althogh they indicated that they would pay some $10. Since that scam, I am not using any web as home page. Just plain.

There are very many websites even today and if you make their page as your homepage, you get paid (mostly search engines) Unfortunately I do not have the addresses of those sites. Just keep looking in mylot discussions, someone might put it up for the benefit of others.

My homepage is yahoo. I prefer it not to be mylot, although it is one of my favorite sites. I just don't feel all that comfortable with someone else possibly compromising my account on here, even if it is just my husband that share the computer. As I use a different browser than him when I mylot I don't really have anything to worry about, but at the same time I don't want to take any chances.

We don't use the icons on the desktop.
I don't think so. He doesn't even like to use the browser that I use. I do have a bad habit of stepping away from the computer though while leaving mylot up to load. With being on dial-up it can take forever! I doubt that he'd do anything other than read some of the posts that catch his interest, but I'd hate for him to mess with something, like my profile, even if it is accidentally. I've put a lot of effort into my account. Like I said before I don't want to take any chances.
